Today we travelled with Mahoods Taxis for the fourth time since February 25. We have found the service excellent- good booking system, great notification system for when the taxi is on its way, and again when it has arrived . All our drivers have been pleasant and all journeys have been excellent. I am happy to recommend this company to others.

Asked for a taxi to return to accomodation from a wedding venue. Operator explained the substantial distance and out of there usual range however they were able to provide a taxi, very accommodating and reasonably priced giving the distance. Driver was friendly and very talkative. Excellent service 🙂

I had a driver called Elaine tonight who drove me a short distance in the snow and dicey conditions. The operator said it would take 30-40 minutes for the driver to arrive. She arrived within 15 minutes. She was a great driver who navigated the journey carefully as well as having a conversation with myself, her company was a pleasure and we shared a laugh along the journey. Im looking forward to hopefully driving with her again.

Hi,
On Monday 18th July, one of your drivers picked me up at approx 10am from the car park next to the castle in Carrickfergus, close to some public toilets. I had been part of a bus tour and fell ill. Your driver was excellent. He was kind enough to stop when I continued to feel sick and was able to offer bottled water and tissues.
He was an absolute gent and I thank him greatly.
He is an asset to your company.

Carrickfergus is next to Greenisland , I rang and asked for a taxi today only to be told that there would be a £5 charge for picking up in Greenisland because it was outside Carrickfergus. When I asked why she said it was because I wasn't in carrickfergus !!

I thought she was being funny but turns out not ... Mind blown !!

I got 2 taxis with Mahoods today. The first took payment by card and the second didn’t. When the first driver told me they accepted card payment I mistakenly assumed that all drivers in the company would. The second driver advised me that it’s not mandatory for drivers in the company to accept card payments and that you need to tell the person who takes the booking that you want to pay by card. As someone who doesn’t have to get taxis often I think that is perhaps a question that the operators should ask customers when they make the booking, as it’s a bit late finding out at the end of the journey.

I needed some medication delivered to my mother in Carrickfergus there was no one could deliver it to her it was a bank holiday.
I called Mahoods taxis and they were fantastic, they picked up the medication and delivered it for me before I had paid. Great company thank you very much.
