One of the most Awesome places we have ever stayed in every corner of Scotland!
The owners Maureen & Peter are an absolute delight to get the know, so friendly & always wanting to help whenever they can enhance your holiday, 5* gems!
Now the property, there aren't enough superlatives to describe this hi tech luxurious abode, every aspect has been provided for in top quality to contribute to how enjoyable your stay will be, in every way it's the winner, we will now not consider any other property in the whole of Orkney.
The lounge & sun dining area with huge TV & amazing views across to the island of Hoy even in moonlight is beyond comprehension.
The kitchen is a cook's delight with every need catered for & huge American style fridge/freezer in any adjacent lobby as well as kitchen fridge & breakfast dining area. There is a twin room which we ever used & at the end of the corridor the sumptuous master ensuite bathroom with fabulous shower. The large bed was extremely comfortable.
If you want to stay in Orkney quite near to Kirkwall consider no other, Stay in Lyradale 10*!!!

We stayed at Lyradale at the end of July, 2023 and didn't want to leave. Maureen and Peter were lovely and Lyradale was just as wonderful! Beautifully appointed, it has everything you could possibly need. The high specification of the house makes for a perfect holiday and is only beaten by the amazing view. The house is designed to make the most of this and we certainly did!. For an introduction to Orkney, Lyradale certainly delivered and we will definitely want to return.
