Fantastic place but mind the seagulls if you eat at the beach and remember the roads do have cars on them an the roads are not for pedestrians. You will get rum over. .its happened quite a few times that I've seen.

We used Lyme Bay Holidays to book two properties on the Rousdon Estate for the family holiday this year.
The office staff were very helpful and communication was good. We were given all relevant information regarding the holiday homes in good time.
The properties were of a good standard and the welcome packages were very much appreciated. Everything we needed was provided...even plenty of logs!
Beautiful area with easy access to Lyme Regis, Charmouth, Seaton, Sidmouth and Beer.
Our security deposit was reimbursed promptly.

My wife and I stayed at the Lyme Bay holidays apartment for seven days over Christmas week.

The apartment it was much smaller than it appeared in photos. We thought the rooms were over decorated with various knickknacks and ornaments. The kitchen was tiny.

Many surfaces still had dust on them. A family with kids moved into the upstairs apartment. We constantly heard them moving around. The sound installation in the apartments could be improved.

I repeatedly attempted to contact Lyme Bay holidays via phone and WhatsApp to resolve these issues. They did not reply to my various messages.

When I finally had a reply, I asked for a 20% refund on the stay. They refused and said the owner was responsible not them.

The company has recently been taken over by a nationwide operation. This has led to a deterioration in customer service.

I suggest using other agencies that provide holiday lets.

Haven't had my holiday yet, but the price that I was offered on here was far cheaper than other sites.
I have visited this area a few times already and it is the most beautiful place to be by the sea. (if you want an idea of what it looks like watch Broadchurch).
The apartment has sea views and really good reviews. I stayed in an apartment close by last year, so I know how nice this area is.
Personally as an allergy sufferer, it was also brilliant to find no pets allowed accommodation at a reasonable price

I would advise not to use. I booked in April via their website for a rental with a Sunday changeover. I have been told in June that this is not allowed and it is a Friday changeover meaning we cannot now make our holiday. Why it took them two months and to take my deposit and half payment, and to actually book before they told me is baffling. Apparently it says on their website about only taking Friday bookings but this is not reflected in their booking system. Customer service is also non existent, for some reason it’s all my fault and not theirs. Please be careful as you could have your holiday cancelled or changed months after you booked it. I am now having to desperately search for a new place and there’s not much availability.
