Had a 2 week break booked in June. Received an email saying there were problems at the resort we had booked which included no hot water and heating for the properties there and they had taken the hard decision to end their agreement with the resort as there was also an obvious lack of customer service there. They gave me an opportunity to look at other properties but nothing suited so they arranged a refund straight away. We were lucky and managed to book somewhere else, but I'm pleased with how they dealt with the problem. They obviously care about their guests so will definitely use again.

My family and I (6 Adults and 1 Child) stayed at The Linhay, Higher Yalberton Farm for the Christmas week Monday to Friday. Wow what a fantastic place to stay, a beautiful barn conversion in a stunning location close to Paignton. Jennie and Kevin have thought of everything you need for a wonderful stay including decorating the accommodation for the festive season. The facilities and space were great for the family both inside and out. My Granddaughter loved the outside space to run around and play and once she was tucked up in bed the Adults enjoyed a few drinks relaxing in the hot tub.
We made great memories at The Linhay and will be looking to book again whether as a whole family or as a smaller group as the property also has smaller Barns available.

We stayed here for 4 nights in August, 4 adults and 2 dogs.
The cottage is wonderful and beautifully presented and has all you need for a relaxing break.Although it has a modern interior it still holds its Fisherman Cottage charm. It has a very cosy feel and all the rooms are tastefully decorated.
It is literally a 2 minute walk to the beach, we used Bamaluz Beach which is dog friendly all day long and closest to the cottage but you can take dogs on other beaches at certain times of day.
St Ives is right on your doorstep whichever way you turn so the cottage is an excellent location.
There is parking nearby ( council car park not too expensive) but two of us came by train which was very easy….St Erth to St Ives is a very picturesque journey and it’s just a 15 minute walk through the streets of St Ives to the cottage so your holiday starts the minute you get off the train!
We can’t wait to return!

We had a fantastic time at Woolbrook Reservoir - the place was phenomenal and exceeded our expectations!

The booking process was really easy and communications with Luxury Coastal great - it was refreshingly easy to actually speak to an advisor on the phone, which is a rarity these days! Highly recommended

After a stay at their property in Devon, Luxury coastal sent us an overview of ‘damages’ and reasons why their cleaning process took longer than usual.

The photos they sent us consisted of an unmade bed, which you would assume they would strip every bed of the sheets etc and replace regardless? A single hanger on the floor, and a tissue next to a bed.

After an appeal process Airbnb decided to side with us and we paid no damages, but absolutely shocking behaviour from the agency and we will be sure to never book from them again, please ensure you do not make the same mistake as us.

Utterly disappointed at a recent visit to Cornwall for a much needed weeks holiday with my family booked through Luxury Costal.
Arrived later than expected after a 300 mile trip to find our property with no heating or hot water. The remote Cornish cottage with thick stoned walls and a quirky feel with a log burner was not quite as appealing without basic facilities.
Unable to contact the property manager as they are 'not expected to cover 24hrs per day'.
Waited around day 1 for a heating engineer, no success.
Day 2 poor comms from Property Mgr, still no facilities, our plans had to change, cold house and still no shower. VM left for Luxury Coastal.
Emma did find a showering facility 20 mins away for us. A further disruption! Certainly not luxury, no towels, lockers or bathing provisions and asked to pay £8pp for the privilege.
Day 3 still no joy, Emma offered a choice of properties to relocate to.
Property 1 - turned out not available! Why was this offered? Property 2 - only option - no other local alternatives unless we wanted a drive to North or South Cornwall - defeated the object - we were visiting friends locally! A 6 hour wait, packing up our belongings and a further drive - unable to have this property until 4pm. Far from the original requirements of our booking. A bungalow, dated decor and facilities for the disabled.
Initially asked to pay extra for this privilege - after refusing was told they would not turn on the hot tub as a result. Not really an issue - I explained we didn't even have swimming costumes with us!
Out of desperation stayed put, and wanting to try to have a much needed family break for the remaining 4 days of 7. After all you can't gain lost time.
After waiting over a week for a reimbursement of the days where facilities were not provided, oh and the showering facility we had to pay for, I emailed my feedback. Thinking answers would be provided to these failings, comments appreciated and valued for future customers, I had a reply.
No answers provided, Luxury Costal were sorry, these things happen and if we were unhappy with the relocation, we should have 'packed up and driven home'. Alternatively I could have sourced an alternative accommodation to move to of my own choice, and taken a day to relocate us - a week pre Christmas at short notice that is quite hard with 5 people and dogs!
Not quite the response expected from a company advertising 'Luxury'. They had 'compensated' me for the 3 days inconvenience by giving a refund - not offered but insisted by me. This in fact was quite rightly a refund of a product not provided, not compensation!
Further conversations with Emma and Laura made no progress. The bottom line was they wanted to give me £100 in vouchers to rebook with them and that was the best they could offer. After all they had 'made no money on this booking!'
Complete failure to acknowledge this was a poor level of customer service and no answers provided, no surprise.
I am sure some people have had a good experience with this company but just a word of warning - being independent you have no cover with Atol or Abta and be warned if things don't go to plan it will cost you your holiday and your on your own.

Unfortunately I cannot share the other 5 star reviews, at least not on this property (Mermaid Cottage).
The cottage was good, but not "luxury". A lot of equipment (e.g. pans) were worn out. But the biggest disappointment was the garden. Overgrown with bamboo shots shooting out of the lawn everywhere (one of our dogs cut his paw on it). The outside dining table was so wobbly that I feared it would collapse every minute.

From the stay to the booking process, everything was seamless and stress-free. I look forward to staying at a Luxury Coastal property again! Would thoroughly recommend Beam Ends in Beesands 🙂
