The four-month short-term rent at Luke Stays is satisfying. The house is very clean, the facilities are intact, and it is located in the city centre, and the transportation is convenient. Stephanie, the staff, is kind and friendly and can solve problems in time. The deposit we paid is also fully refunded a week after checking out.

We trusted or apartment to luke stays and it was the worst decision. The property was newly refurbished and every single booking complained via bad reviews about cleanliness. Our lovely property was left filthy for new guests and wasn't being cared for as they promised and it has cost is dearly in lost revenue. We are in the process of moving agents. My advice is for you to avoid avoid avoid!

We booked this hotel to stay for 4 nights. Overall, for the price of the room we obviously didn’t receive a 5* hotel experience. The room was clean, towels were provided as well as small bottles of shampoo and body wash. As expected, the walls themselves and the curtains weren’t of the best condition. It wasn’t hard to use the door lock, however, the biggest downside was the lack of stuff in the building, as well the fact that some tenants kept leaving their trash in the “reception”. Our only main problem was that the back door facing the car park wouldn’t accept the pin from the front door, so we couldn’t access the building without walking around the block. Like mentioned, this room was the cheapest in the are and after reviewing the comments online we were unsure of what to expect. We didn’t feel unsafe as on the second night we saw a security man sitting on the couch (we hope he worked for this hotel). Room was nice and outdated which didn’t spoil our time in Newcastle. We would recommend this place for parties arriving in Newcastle for a couple of days as it is near the metro and next to busy pubs.

The apartment itself is absolutely beautiful. Decor is amazing. Very comfy. Only problem was the WiFi wasn't working up all weekend despite being told it was fixed and the hot water was set on a timer. So we had hot water in the day but none in the evening.
The team are very responsive and helpful. Location is fab. And views are lovely.

Where to begin… I’m still in complete disappointment by the service received from Luke Stays. Myself and my partner arrived at the apartment after an 8 hour flight to find the apartment in an absolute mess. When contacting the company we were asked to wait in a cafe for an hour or so whilst they sent a cleaner. 4 hours later and no update, we then contacted them to confirm the status of the cleaner of which Luke Stays confirmed they were in the apartment. We then went back to the apartment to find we had been lied to; there was NO cleaner. Sadly we lost our deposit of £100 for our dinner reservation as we were unable to use the apartment to shower and get ready - gutted!
We then contacted Luke Stays via message and called who did not respond to our messages for another few hours. At 8pm we were offered NO cleaner but fresh linen for us to change ourselves and a cleaner the following day at 7.30am. As mentioned before the apartment was a mess, pizza boxes and bottles on the sides, wee on the toilet seat and water all over the floor; I felt completely insulted that I was offered to stay there with ‘fresh linen’. We kindly asked if they’d honour a one night stay at the Intercontinental next store (£50 more than the apartment for the night) to allow us to at least get showered after the flight, which they declined. We therefore had no choice but to pay for this ourselves! We then arrived the following morning at 8.30am after being promised the cleaner would have finished to allow us to start our holiday; much to our disappointment the cleaner had not arrived! After being now £370 out of pocket, we are now having to fight for some form of compensation. All I am being told is that they need authorisation; this is now 5 days on and no update. What I will add is that the ability to contact this company has been horrendous! We still to date have not received ONE apology, I’m in shock! I run a business myself and this would absolutely not be how I would provide customer service, completely disappointed and ruined our start to the holiday! I would not recommend this company to anyone!

A hideous property in Newcaste rented through Luke Stays: Langton Terrace. My advice: do not rent an apartment or holiday home through Luke Stays. They go into business with rogue homeowners who want to earn money through an empty house. This house was almost completely empty. The beds were so bad that sharp points protruded from the mattresses. The tub was taped together with duct tape. The smelly little bench in the room was also not an option to sleep on. There was hardly any tableware in the kitchen. We cooked with a single saucepan.

The customer service was possibly even worse. We left after one night and asked for compensation for the five nights we had to find accommodation elsewhere. Initially, the employee was understanding and offered us another apartment. When we indicated that we no longer had faith in Luke Stays, the attitude changed. We were told that we would not get our money back, but also that we were not allowed to return to the house (5 nights left!): it would have already been rented out to others. So: no money back, no other home and other guests in the house at our expense. The complaint we subsequently sent to Luke Stays about this was never answered...
