Stunning location, impressive dockyard engineering with a museum next door to tell the story. It’s always great to see post-industrial decline transformed into a thriving asset for the future. In addition to moorings for yachts, people were fishing from one pier and deep sea diving from another. There are also fast boat rides available.

What was once a thriving fishing harbour has been transformed into a beautiful yacht and power boat marina, with a few working fishing boats still in residence. A little line fishing for crab and mackerel from the harbour wall for good measure is a treat 😊

Nice little spot, fab beach and the ice cream parlours are highly recommended (but having diabetes I couldn’t partake 😵‍💫 )
