I won't say, it is a must, but to see this ground up close, you have to take a ticket and the tour comes with that. I thought I would get interesting stories but whatever the information we got, it was more about the ground and how it was formed, who the founder was, the history of it, etc.. and less about Cricket stories.

The tour started with the MCC Cricket Museum where real Ashes trophy is kept. Guide told us a story about how this little trophy (or gift) came into existence and history with it. Being a fan of Indian cricket, I saw the jersey that Dada took off and waved it on the balcony at Lord's Cricket Ground after India won the NatWest Trophy final against England in 2002. What an iconic scene it was.

Apart from that iconic 1983 World Cup trophy which Kapil Dev lifted in 1983, the T20 World Cup trophy, and many more.

Of course, we got to see all the iconic spots, Pavilions, and guest pavilions (from where Dada waved his t-shirt).
Long room: I was more excited to see this. I had watched the clip where 'God' Sachin Tendulkar was descending stairs, walking through the long room, and entering the ground- so I wanted to see all these things. It has its own history

Guide told seats are fixed for all of the English crickets in the pavilion and who sits where. The pavilion was not fancy and there was an old bench there. Not sure it's the same bench in matches too.
Then he took us to near the ground and then the JP Morgan media center (Yup, the same oval-shaped famous icon over the ground). And trip ends with a gift shop

Overall, I would definitely suggest this tour, as you know many things which you are not aware of.

Time: almost 2 hours.
No videography is allowed.

PS: Well before our trip, I had booked a tour of the iconic cricket ground and its museum and I would suggest the same to you folks. The ticket was GBP 30 PP

PS2: Entry is from Grace Gate so set a map for this gate. otherwise, you would have to walk 15 mins more to reach the right gate.

Visiting Lord's Cricket Ground is a dream come true for any cricket enthusiast. This iconic venue is steeped in history and tradition, making it a must-see for fans of the sport. The tour we took was exceptional, focusing solely on cricket without any distractions. It provided an in-depth look at the history and significance of the ground.

The lush green grass was absolutely stunning, looking like a perfect carpet. It was a visual treat that added to the charm of the place. The tour included a visit to the famous commentary boxes, where legendary commentators have narrated some of the most memorable moments in cricket history. We also got to see special zones of the ground that are usually off-limits to the public, adding an exclusive feel to the experience.

One of the highlights was learning about the unique features of Lord's, like the slope of the pitch and the iconic Pavilion. The guides were knowledgeable and passionate, sharing fascinating anecdotes and insights that brought the history of Lord's to life.

If you ever visit Lord's, you'll find it hard to be impressed by any other cricket ground around the world. The rich history, the immaculate grounds, and the exclusive access make this tour unmatched and unforgettable.

Great Experience!
I had the privilege to visit Lords earlier this year. The tour is comprehensive. I got to see and share areas that I thought would be off limits. Long Room, dressing rooms - home and visitors - media center - including the iconic Shane Warne box. The museum itself is excellent and l shows how important the ground is.
But, the real value of the tour are the incredible tour guides and stewards. All are very helpful, knowledgeable and welcoming. Congrats to Lords and the MCC. You made a good trip to London, great.

A Surprisingly Delightful Experience at Lord's Cricket Stadium Tour.

I recently took the Lord's Cricket Stadium Tour with my husband, who is a massive cricket fan. I'll be honest—I wasn't expecting much since I'm not into cricket myself, but I went along for his sake. To my surprise, this tour turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip, thanks to our incredible guides, Jeff and Brenda.

From the moment we started, Jeff and Brenda's warmth and humor set the tone for an enjoyable experience. They were not only knowledgeable about the history and quirks of Lord's but also effortlessly engaging. Their witty commentary and lighthearted banter had us laughing throughout the 100-minute tour, which felt like it flew by in an instant.

Even as someone who knows little about cricket, I was completely drawn in by their storytelling and the vibrant energy they brought to the group. It was fascinating to see iconic parts of the stadium, like the Long Room and the Players' Dressing Rooms, but it was the guides' infectious enthusiasm that made the experience memorable for me.

If you're wondering whether this tour is worth it, even for a non-cricket fan, the answer is absolutely yes. Jeff and Brenda turned what I expected to be a routine visit into an unforgettable experience. I left with a newfound appreciation for the history and spirit of the game and a big smile on my face.

Highly recommended—especially if you have guides as fantastic as Jeff and Brenda!

From the famous Long Room to the Pavilion, every part of the tour was filled with cricketing history, and Jeff made sure we didn’t miss a single detail. It was truly a surreal experience walking through the same spaces as some of the greatest players in cricket history.

I highly recommend this tour to anyone who loves cricket or wants to learn more about the sport’s legacy. Jeff’s enthusiasm and expertise made it a day to remember. Don't miss it!
