We were extremely lucky with the weather, all the animals were out sunbathing. The staff were extremely lovely and helpful, BIG shout out to Nicky, the otters keeper who answered all of my Brownies questions. She has the patience of an angel and is knowledgeable about her animals. The area was clean, tidy and the children loved it. If you love animals, this is a great place for the family.

Fabulous day even though we were completely drenched! Animals are beautiful and well looked after. The bats flying around your head were amazing! The monkeys are so funny and lovely. Very excited that they are building a new hippo home and trying to do a breeding programme at the end of this year!

We visited this place for the first time, and after expecting it to be the best and biggest safari park in the UK, we were very disappointed. This place is overpriced, and you don't get to see many interesting animals. All the animals were really far away or hiding inside their houses. It was a nice sunny day and busy as well, so we are not sure why we didn't see much. Also, all the lions, cheetahs, and tigers were behind cages, so we are not sure what the point is of driving around in a car when they are behind bars. Not really worth it. After we spent £45 per person on tickets at the safari, we stopped at the walking bit. Very overpriced food and drinks at the restaurant. London prices, ridiculous. They gave us a map with not much detail on where the animals were, and if there were some, the animal was most times not there or the area was closed, like the family petting part. We walked all the way there to read a sign saying it was closed. The small animals you could see close up looked very stressed and uncomfortable so close to people. And the ones that were far away were sleeping. Many animals look very skinny and small. Not sure what is happening in the safari park, but judging by the business I see and overbooked tickets, I'm sure the park is not out of money. So why animal look under fed? Left the park with a not-so-good feeling and will not be returning. So many better and cheaper places are around. Disappointed after traveling almost three hours to see underweight animals and sleeping.

You definitely get very close to all the animals and birds. All the animals were out and came really close. We took our time and watched the tiger cubs playing with their mum in the drive through safari. A mum monkey carrying her baby sat on our car bonnet. The guide on the river boat was fantastic and we fed the sea lions! Even the gorillas popped out. Lots to do. I would have liked to know if they do any conservation work and about why the jeeps were herding the big cats and wolves so aggressively. That made me feel a bit uncomfortable as it was so unnatural and the animals seemed scared. Some of the small enclosures in the Animal world also felt small and very concrete. We liked the fact the rescued elephant wasn't expected to come out and appreciated knowing it was only there because she had been rescued. Elephants shouldn't be kept in captivity because they roam such large distances. That said, all the staff were lovely and the grounds are out of this world. Enormous with incredible views. The train was also a big hit with the younger family member!

Went to the animal trail in the village and the festival of light. So many interesting creatures I hadn't seen before. Loads of Koalas and a red panda which was a cuteness overload. The lights are incredible. Huge scale. So many different subjects and scenes. It was very busy but a lovely atmosphere. Plenty of food and shopping options aswell as the attractions. Perfect for any age. Loved it.

A day at Longleat way exceeded our expectations! We loved it. There is so much to see and do for all ages (for example a guided tour of the house for the adults), the animals are well cared for (some have smaller enclosures which is a bit sad like the African dogs); the staff are fantastic and very friendly and knowledgeable (the boat tour guide is a comedian! So entertaining). Great selection of good food outlets and shops. So much more than animals: the maze and the kids playground are excellent

My mom, daughter, her father and I went to see Longleat's light show for my daughters 1st birthday (1st week in December 2024) and it was brilliant. When we got there we went around the safari park which my daughter loved as she got to see the animals. However, because we went on a weekend the queues around the safari was ridiculous. I think it took us 2 hours and the weather being so sunny the car was over heating and we were all melting.

Once the drive through was completed we parked up and went straight to the lake where we were the last ones to go onto the boat. The staff were so pleasant! Unfortunately because of the time, the animals around that area had already been put to bed but the sea lions gave us a wonderful performance and it was amazing to see my little one get so excited and giggle.

We then walked around the park, tried to get something to eat, (queues unfortunately) but food was nice and the atmosphere was fantastic. So many people with their families all enjoying themselves as they waited for the lights to turn on.

When it turned dark, that's when the magic happened. Everything went bright and colourful. Everywhere we looked, my daughters eyes were going crazy, looking at everything and trying to capture the moment. We walked around the displays (took about 1 hour) as we stopped at each one and appreciated the time and effort that the staff had put into creating a masterpiece.

When we had visited all of the displays we walked round to the longleat house and was surprised by a breathtaking visual display. It showed the history behind longleat and how it used during the last 50 years, from being a hospital in the World War to welcoming the Rolling Stones concert and then adding the animals. It was amazing to see the history being displayed into the house. The lighting, the music was just phenomenal. Everyone who watched it stood in silence in awe.

Would 100000% recommend. It was a perfect family day, and to be there for such a special occasion (Longleats 50th anniversary) made it more magical!

Can't wait to go back so my daughter can make more happy memories.

We went to see the festival of lights along with the ride around safari.
Extremely good value for money. Safari is very well controlled and not rushed at all.
The light festival was amazing , so well thought out and extremely well presented.
Will definately do this again.
