I did the rock ‘n’ roll history tour and it was so much fun! It really spanned over several different decades and rock genres, so it was really interesting to learn so much and see significant sites. This was the only tour I did during my time in London and loved it!

Took the London Walks tour of the V&A with Simon and it was fantastic. He was thorough and very knowledgeable. We stopped by an array of exhibits so the tour was varied in terms of medium and time period which I appreciated. When meeting for this particular tour if you are coming up from the tube at South Kensington the meeting point will be in the station on your right hand side as you come up the escalator. Don’t forget to see what exhibitions are on in case you want to book a ticket for after the tour!

We did the Kensington Garden walks with David. David was a great guide, bursting with history and knowledge of the area. We love the old prints that he brought with him to bring to life the past. And the follow up email was nice to recap some of the stories we heard during the walk. The group was large though so whilst David has a loud voice, it was not always easy to hear all the details with traffic noise. And having a large no. of walkers also meant less time to exchange and chat. Capping the no. of walkers would make the walk a greater experience.

We had such a great time on the Jack the Ripper tour. It was very interesting to hear about all of the murders and the common myths dispelled. Oliver was extremely knowledgeable and kept us very engaged throughout and was full of character and great jokes. This tour is a must for anyone wanting to know more about the Jack the Ripper murders and is highly recommended!

A night on the "Ghosts of the Old City Walking Tour" with Adam proved to be an enchanting and memorable experience. From the moment the tour began, it was evident that Adam had a captivating presence and a genuine passion for storytelling.
As we gathered in the dimly lit streets near the site of the former Newgate Prison, Adam immediately set the tone with his theatrical flair, creating an atmosphere charged with anticipation and a hint of spookiness. His storytelling was not just informative; it was a performance, complete with dramatic pauses, a lowering of the voice, and *BANG* a stomp of the foot to make the group jump and giggle.
Adam seamlessly wove together historical facts with local folklore, bringing the past to life in a way that held the group's attention throughout the tour. His vivid descriptions and animated delivery made it easy to visualize the scenes he painted, making the ghostly tales feel like a journey through time.
One of the highlights was Adam's ability to prompt the audience to think about what may have been the actual origins of the ghost stories he was sharing. He had some real bangers I wish I’d written down. “That’s the thing about hysteria… at some point you feel stupid if you don’t join in.” He encouraged interaction between stops and kept an eye on the crowd so we did not end up wandering the dark streets of London alone on a Sunday night.
By the end of the evening, it was apparent that Adam had not only provided a fascinating glimpse into the supernatural history of the London’s Old City but had also left a lasting impression on the participants. The tour was not just about ghosts; it was a masterful blend of storytelling, history, and entertainment, making it a positive and memorable experience for all who dared to join the journey into the haunted past. Also at £15, it is easily the cheapest way to spend 2 hours awake in London.

My mum and I had the most amazing time on the Inns of Court walking tour. We went on a Monday in early September and had a substitute guide due to an illness - it was still an incredible experience and our guide was extremely engaging, funny, and knowledgeable. I will definitely sign up for more of these tours next time I’m in London!

London Walks has been one of my favourite activities to do since moving here. The guides are incredibly generous with their knowledge. They are all so animated (often act out scenes, and incredibly literary). Today I did the Kensington walk, which turned out to be my favourite, mostly because of David. He was so kind. I hardly ever write reviews but I strongly recommend going on a London Walk with these guides!
