A hidden gem. I learned so many interesting details about the house, church and its owners on the private tour.
Wonderful views from the top of tower and a delightful surprise display of dolls houses on the way up.
The gardens were looking beautiful too.

We are so pleased that we chose Layer Marney Tower as our venue for our wedding. During the show-round, Karen's commitment and professionalism helped us choose the perfect rooms for our ceremony, wedding breakfast and evening entertainment.
The beautiful gardens and stunning Tudor Gatehouse really made a lovely background for our photographs. We had amazing feedback from our guests too, who were equally impressed with the venue, catering and staff. Thanks to all those involved in making our very special day a memorable one.

The perfect wedding venue! We were married in June 24 and the whole day was faultless. The tower is so unique and glows red in the sunset and the gardens and views are just stunning. We were married in the historic church in the garden but there is a civil ceremony room which is equally grand - it was really great to be able to have the whole day in one venue so there was no time lost or added complications by having to transport people between ceremony and reception.
From first viewing through to the day itself (and after), Karen and the team were so helpful and they helped us organise the Routemaster bus for our guests, the Rolls Royce cars, all the catering, fireworks, florists, etc - the whole team is super professional and friendly and it just makes you relax in the run up. The catering was excellent and we got so many compliments on the food and it's really convenient that they know the venue so well so there's no stress or additional hiring costs. Honestly, the day couldn't have been better and the whole place is so special. Couldn't recommend more highly!

Had our outdoor wedding at Layer Marney in May 2024, and it was absolutely magical! The entire team was incredibly supportive and helpful throughout the planning process. The venue itself is breathtaking, and the outdoor space was the perfect backdrop for our fairytale wedding. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect day!

I was recently the wedding photographer at Layer Marney Tower. The couple had the ceremony in a beatiful historic room on the 1st floor and I can say it had some of the best natural light coming through the windows which enabled us to capture some fantasic photos. The venues co-ordinator was very helpful offering the groom and I a show around the venue and its large gardens which offered plenty of portrait oppertunities. The tower iteself, while a fair few steps up, gives a great view and well worth the trip up. Highly recommend if you are looking to get married here.

We visited to view for a possible wedding venue.
We have been to some lovely places, but this was perfection.
The hosts were passionate and committed to the running of the place and eager to showcase what they offer, but not pushy.
The grounds speak for themselves. It's beautiful all year round.
They host days out throughout the year, so we'll be returning for something anyway.
For now, it's shortlisted.
