A wonderful place to learn to ride. My Daughter started to ride at Lavant at 5 years old and is now 9. She has weekly lessons and attends many pony camps in the school holidays. All the instructors have been excellent as she’s moved up through the levels. The ponies/horses are great for all abilities and very well trained. Huge indoor arena when the weather isn’t good, another 2 outdoor arena’s and woods to go hacking in, lots of space.
I like it that health and safety is very good here also. My daughter’s favourite place to be as she’s made great friends.

After changing stables three times, we’ve finally found a place that truly feels like home. Despite traveling more than two hours every lesson, we couldn’t be happier with the experience. Our daughter, Zoya, absolutely loves it here and feels right at home. The trainers have not only made her feel comfortable, but with the addition of badges to achieve each month, she's even more eager to learn and improve.

From the moment we arrived, I was impressed by the trainers' deep knowledge, dedication, and genuine care for the horses. They took the time to explain everything about the training process, ensuring that each horse’s unique needs were met with patience and skill.

The trainers have an incredible bond with the horses, and it's clear that they treat them not just as animals, but as true partners. Whether it was guiding a novice rider or fine-tuning the skills of an experienced one, the trainers were consistently professional and encouraging, offering constructive feedback in a way that made everyone feel comfortable and confident.

What stood out most was the trainers' ability to create a calm and safe environment, which is so important when working with such large and powerful animals. Their attention to detail and emphasis on both horse and rider safety is truly commendable.

Overall, I was thoroughly impressed by the exceptional training standards at this stable. The trainers are not only skilled and knowledgeable but also passionate about their work, and it shows in the progress made by both the horses and riders. Traveling those extra miles each week is more than worth it – we are so grateful for this fantastic experience. Special mention to Polly and Georgia – they are absolutely amazing teachers! Highly recommend!

Our son has been riding at Lavant since November 2019. We honestly can’t recommend it more highly. The horse-welfare is first-rate. The horses are so well looked after. The teaching is excellent and the facilities are amazing. We wouldn’t go anywhere else for lessons!

Lavant equestrian has to be the best facility locally for getting children connected to their passion of horse riding. My daughter has attended for a few years now, testament to the quality of the teaching, horses (and ponies) and the facility as a whole. Always clean and tidy, the staff are also really polite and helpful. Couldn't have asked for a better introduction to my daughters now (hopefully) life long love for this hobby.

My daughter has been riding at Lavant for over 2 years and it's not only an extremely well run and professional stables, which has progressed her riding, but it's become a lifeline for her and given her so much confidence around adults and other riders - she now has a loan pony which has transformed her life. A great riding school. They offer levels depending on experience & my daughter rides in the same class each week, meaning she has been able to make friends with the other riders. The instructors monitor their progress and progress them to the next level when ready. My daughter loves that they get to do dressage and jumping & has progressed amazingly. The pony camps are also great & well run.

I’d recommend Lavant to anyone looking to ride.
