Some reviews say that the walk is 20 minutes, but they clearly don’t have moaning teenagers with them. It took us 45 minutes to get to the beach and longer to get back with multiple stops to complain about the walk. Was it worth it? Yes and no. It’s a lovely beach and we had it to ourselves, the teens had a paddle that they enjoyed, but despite clear signs of them being around, we saw no otters. Would I return? Probably not.

Beautiful beach! The only trouble we had is finding the car park for the start of the walk as google maps had directed us some random place. There’s a car park just after Dervaig called Kildavie Settlement trailhead parking - this is the start of the walk to the beach. The beach is so peaceful and serene, we lucked out with the weather when we went.

Isolated, windswept and rocky coastline with sandy parts. Direct path from the car park takes about 25mins to walk there. It's a shame the woodland along the path is cut down and looks barren. After a few hundred metres from the car park, there are 2 paths to get there. I will recommend to avoid the longer route on the right as there's not much to see amongst the barren landscape. Take the one on the left. Once you get to the beach, you can easily spend an hour exploring the coastline or coastal paths around the beach.

Stunning beach, bit of a walk to get to it but it was really worth it, the beach is beautiful and very isolated. There was nobody else there when we visited. Definitely worth adding to your list to visit

One of the most beautiful beach on Mull! There are no roads that lead to this place but with a bit of luck you’ll be able to find your way. It is worth the walk as the beach is stunning and empty, only sheeps! We were the only people the whole afternoon. I love it!

This is such a glorious beach, absolutely visit it. I would even prioritise it over some of the others on the island.

Well worth the walk to this stunning beach, that rivals any of the world’s most exotic beaches.
