A must do place to visit. Apart from the photo at the signpost which we chose to do (£10.99) there’s some fantastic walks and views around. Hotel restaurant has some lovely food but other places around. A picnic is probably best idea as things can become pricey. Good experience overall.

Breathtaking Scenery and a Memorable Experience

Land's End in Penzance is truly a gem of Cornwall, offering breathtaking views and an unforgettable experience. The dramatic cliffs, stunning coastal walks, and panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean make it a must-visit destination. Whether you're visiting for the scenery, the historical significance, or just to experience the "End of the Land," it doesn't disappoint.

The visitor center is well-maintained, with plenty of activities for families, including exhibitions and a gift shop offering unique souvenirs. The cafes and restaurants serve good food, though they can be a bit pricey due to the location. Parking is well-organized but can get busy during peak times, so arriving early is a good idea.

One of the highlights for me was the iconic signpost – a perfect spot for photos! The coastal walks are invigorating, with plenty of opportunities to enjoy nature and spot wildlife.

Land's End is a place where natural beauty meets historical charm, and I highly recommend it for anyone visiting Cornwall.

Probably best avoided unless you really want to visit the most southwesterly point in mainland Britain. The scenery is stunning of course, but so is the scenery all around the Penwith Peninsula, and Land's End was long ago spoiled by its mass tourist appeal. The carpark is £8 and it's £11 for a photo with the iconic signpost. There are a number of blatant tourist "attractions" - Wallace & Gromit (that well known Cornish duo), pirates, that kind of trashy stuff. Very much donuts and burgers rather than local seafood. An alternative would be to park in Sennen (where you can pay by the hour), walk to Land's End on the cliff path, visit the excellent Sennen Cove Cafe on your return, and enjoy a walk along the beach

Awesome view, especially sunset is quite impressive!

Kids and equally adults will enjoy the attractions in the premises.

Would also recommend to go for:
1. trail walk to Sennen Cove beach (total walk for going and return will be 2-3 hours from Lands End hotel). Remember to see the ship wreckage on the trail, it needs a little deviation which is marked.
2. Enys Dodman Rock Arch. It is ~20mins walk from Lands End hotel.

This place really was beautiful, but it had such a themed park atmosphere. The one place that you came to see was the directional sign to take a picture, and it looked like you had to pay for the picture. I didn't have to do that in John O'Groats, Scotland.

Maybe I have it wrong, but 10 pounds for a picture is why I thought it was so similar to Disney.

I can see why this is a great place to bring the kids, but I feel I wasted my 7.50 pound for parking for this place.

I can not believe how many bad reviews I read before arriving here, and now I understand that some people aren't happy unless they have something to complain about.
The place, the entire place, is spotlessly clean, there are signposted paths and trails to follow, some quite bumpy some paved, the little shopping village, is very well looked after and all of the buildings fit beautifully into the landscape. Parking costs £5.50 for 12 hours, so again, I'm struggling to understand why people would complain about this when some National Trust car parks cost £4 for 3 hours!
I took my own lunch, so I can not comment on the price of any of the food, but if you're on a budget, like me, bring a picnic and a flask.
All the members of staff I spoke to were very helpful, polite, and kind.
There are things to do for all ages, but not too many, which is in keeping with the atmosphere of the place.
Obviously, to call the landscape breathtaking, is under selling it as you will see from my photographs, but even those don't do it justice.
Due to the nature of the landscape here it is moderately accessible for wheelchairs and pushchairs, on the main touristy parts, but with it being a cliff face the natural oaths are a little tough to even walk on in places.
There is a rope barrier to state where you should stay within, but for safety reasons, I kept my dogs on their leads.

We came to hike for a few hours. Travelling by bus is comfortable and you can relax and enjoy the scenery along the way. You can start the day on site with a coffee and a small snack. The visitor centre is touristy but there is a toilet and infrastructure. And then go hiking. Picturesque cliffs, nature and hiking trails await you. The focus should not be on the visitor centre but on the surrounding nature.

Not sure what I expected, I think just the sign on a headland. I really didn't expect a little village as such!
Parking is expensive and no options apart from 20 mins for free or all day for £7.50. Once parked there are places to eat and drink, plus a shop for souvenirs and some random other experiences. Not a lot was open on a sunny early March day but enough for us. Most disappointing though was what they have done with the famous signpost. They have added an extra part to it where you can add your own words and they charge you £10.99 to get a photo of you with it. You can't even get next to the signpost unless you pay and have to take it from outside the roped off area.
Why on earth didn't you make a duplicate post for making some extra money with and leave the original alone?! You've spoilt what many people go there to see.
There are some spectacular sights from Lands End and we are glad we visited but it is all very touristy and not somewhere we would return to which is a shame.
