We recently had a few nights away in one their brand new motorhomes and I must say that the whole experience was really good.

It was a very smooth operation from collection to return. The staff were really nice and very accommodating.

As a family of 5 we went away in a Ford Auto Roller 707, the vehicles come with everything you need and I think we used pretty much all of the items supplied.

As we are new to this type of mini break there were lots of things we didn't know about motorhoming, especially how things work. LandCruise have come up with a handy QR code system for all items both inside and out, again, we used this and it worked seamlessly (note that you it's all on YouTube so you need mobile data or wifi).

All in all we had a good time even if we were let down by the UK weather.

Would I recommend? Yes I would !

DO NOT HIRE FROM THIS BUSINESS

I booked a motorhome holiday in 2019 for Easter 2020. When COVID lockdowns happened I politely requested to move my booking to a later date. Lorraine refused quoting the terms and conditions. I highlighted that their force majeure clause actually made them liable to issue a full refund in such circumstances, but all I wanted was to postpone my much needed holiday for another year.

Lorraine quickly transferred the booking to a new date which I naively accepted thinking I was dealing with reasonable people.

I then moved my booking for a second time, to March 2022. By that point I had moved half way up the country and had a child, and politely requested a refund again as our circumstances had changed so much and the £1000+ I had paid them was much needed due to family member illness. Lorraine again refused but offered to transfer my booking again if I called her. I did, she verbally confirmed it had been moved to March 2025 and issued a credit note.

I email a couple of weeks ago asking about my upcoming trip and Lorraine is arguing we never had any phone conversation and the credit note has now expired. She has refused to discuss anything until I prove to her I made that phone call, and when I laid out the options - new credit note and new booking date, refund or small claims court - she replied with "As soon as anyone mentions legal action, I need to close the conversation."

I have been reasonable and patient for 5 years, understanding that COVID put us all in an unprecedented situation. Lorraine has sadly declined to do the reasonable thing and honour the agreement when she has held £1000 of my money for over 5 years.

Read their terms and conditions and the other negative reviews. If ANYTHING goes wrong they will do anything except the right thing. I welcome anyone who has taken legal action against land cruise to follow my profile and I will be in touch to learn from your experience as I go through this unnecessary process.

Land Cruise service is second to none.
We had a motorhome for a month to travel round Europe. It had only done 1000 miles when we picked it up, we did nearly 4000 more in our use. Everything you could need was onboard already.
Hand over was a bit quick but lots of QR codes on how things worked was spot on.
Will use again next year when we book our next European adventure.

I recently rented a Roller 6-berth motorhome for a festival, and the experience exceeded all expectations. From start to finish, everything was seamless and enjoyable.

The motorhome itself was immaculate and well-maintained. The Roller 6-berth was spacious, comfortable, and had all the amenities.Everyone in the group had a fantastic time, and the motorhome provided a perfect base for relaxation and fun. It truly made our festival experience memorable.

We hired an Auto trail V- Line 660 2 berth van. Easy to hire, straightforward website with good, realistic photos. Van was spotless and almost new. Qr codes around the van were a great idea if you needed a reminder of how something worked. Take an absorbent towel for draining your washing up. Plenty of pans, a gas kettle, four china bowls, side plates, dinner plates and mugs even though there were just 2 of us, plus 4 sets of cutlery (website advised one per person). It was nice to have china and not plastic, just glad they didn't break from rattling around! We left some of the glasses, the TV and a mop & bucket (not sure what you'd need that for!) behind as there is very little storage. Also took a small sharp knife which we needed as knives provided were large. Tongs would have been a bonus for BBQ (we bought). We could have done with a collapsible bucket to empty the grey waste water as we prefer small sites which don't have a motorhome drive over waste drain so we had no option to empty apart from just leaving the tap open which most sites ask you not to do!
It was a surprise to be told on collection that we would have to pay an additional £100 if we wanted to use the awning as it was advertised as having one. I get that they are fragile and the new rule had come into place a couple of days before but it would have been nice to be pre warned. We took out our own motorhome hire excess insurance for about £60 but as we didn't take out their CDW insurance they charged my card with £1250 (it says £1000 on the booking info for the vehicle we hired). I thought this was a preauthorisation but it was actually charged to my card. I guess that's to make sure you return it! We took sleeping bags as there would have been nowhere to store a duvet as overhead cab space is used by stick on screens for the windscreen (no remis blinds). We didn't use them as you sleep at the back. The bed wasn't very comfortable and a bit of a faff to make up as the cushions need to be turned over and swapped sides to make them fit so we ended up sleeping on the benches as singles. All in all a great experience. We had a great week, had no problem parking the van anywhere, much easier than the motorhome that we owned previously, just MUCH less storage and nowhere to sit if bed was made up. But great to try out, just not the layout for us. Thankyou Landcruise. Great price too and super friendly staff!

We hired a dog friendly motor home for 2 weeks to take up to the north of Scotland. The service was fantastic on collection and drop off. The van was incredible and in immaculate condition (2016 plate). It drove well and had good fuel consumption for such a large vehicle. We enjoyed ourselves so much we'd like to buy a motor home of our own, if only they weren't so expensive! We will definitely use Landcruise again.

Extremely aggressive and abusive staff member . I dared to say I didn’t think our motorhome was fit for purpose ,the gentleman in question shouted me down , moved about 3 inches from my face and told me to wind my neck in. The reason I complained is as follows.
Firstly my wife and I understand sometimes things just don’t work as they should.
Our heating was incredibly temperamental , we had many a cold day and night without heating. We made contact with Landcruise. Drew the technician informed us he’s not a fan of the system in our motorhome heating system and it may need resetting 14 to 15 times .
So we were patient, the heating still didn’t work correctly so we made our way home early.
I sent an email informing Landcruise we were both rightly fed up of feeling cold.
Not once during our time did we receive an apology . In the end Lorraine agreed not to charge us for a seatbelt our dog damaged and additionally we were paid £102 compensation from the £1900 we had paid for the hire.
My main reason for posting this is I feel it fair to warn others about the very aggressive staff member, if you have a complaint , you may have to face up to him. Don’t let him bully you. I think he hopes his threatening behaviour will lead you to walking away .
Other faults: broken blind, toilet cassette sensor didn’t work, kitchen window blind faulty, table too big for dining area, driver seat armrest broken, driver seat adjustment “wheel” kept falling off, driver seat did not swivel around to face cabin, beeping noise to tell us rear door was open( there isn’t a rear door) , rear driver seat cover broken.
So that’s it . I now suspect Landcruise will be defensive in their reply and may well accuse me of being aggressive, I’ve seen this approach in their previous replies.
Lorraine the director, you’re ok but you need to tell your staff how to behave .

Hired this little beauty last week, what a fun time we had. The service and communications from Landcruise has been brilliant, by emails, phone calls and in person on the days of collection/ return. A very professional company, slickly operated, which I can highly recommend and will definitely hire from again in the future. From their comprehensive instructional binder to accompany you on your trip, to the tutorial videos they've made on YouTube(which are then on the USB to watch on your TV whilst away!) Everything is thought of with a motorhome which is equipped with everything you need. The worst part of the holiday was trying to find any vacancies on caravan sites but with everyone holidaying in Britain it's to be expected. Thank you to all at Landcruise 🙂
