If you've never done Segway before then I would highly recommend it.
Easy to learn and master the machine.
Lakeland offered a good mix of grass, paths and gravel, for off reading and beginners.

We had the best time on the Lakeland Segway tour whilst on our honeymoon in Cartmel.

Helen and Oliver were fantastic at showing you how to use the segways, whilst keeping it light and fun. They also encouraged photos and took some for us.

The tour itself was beautiful along the top of the valley just outside of Cartmel.

Highly recommend!

We booked the 75 minute Cartmel Segway Tour which uses the off road Segways. It starts with a basic handling course so you get the hang of them before you go off on a trip along farm roads. It was loads of fun and the scenery is stunning. The roads undulates and is rough enough for enjoyment and includes a straight section where you can go full pelt on them (12mph which is fast enough). Half way along you have a stop to give your legs a rest and you can take photos and the guide gives you a rundown of the local attractions. On the way back we did a bit of off road skills driving on slopes and going down steep hills to tempt you to book for the more advanced tour where you spend longer driving through woods. All in all it was great fun and we will probably try and do the Adventure Tour next time other just for variety. Book well in advance as they do fill up quickly

Did the Cartmel tour - 10 in the group and 4 instructors. My first time on a Segway - super easy to learn and fun to ride. Went for a lovely ride around the estate and got some great pics. Staff were very lovely

Me and my Son attended the session this afternoon. I made them aware my son does have ASD and very overwhelmed on the way here with anxiety, they went above and beyond to ease them. Highly recommended and looking forward to doing the longer segway tour next time. Thanks ❤️

Brilliant experience. If you’ve never ridden one, you’ll get some basic training and you’ll get to grips with it within a few minutes. Nice tour through the forest in Cartmel.
