Pullwood Bay Estates:
Lovely place. Gorgeous views. Make sure to tell them you want the twins put together like the pictures. Otherwise, they are separated upon arrival.
It was way too hot throughout with no way to correct it. We tried by following directions to adjust the temperatures on the thermostats. The company tried by sending maintenance, which just made the temp go up further. We tried by opening windows, which let bugs in. We tried by turning off all (underfloor) units. Keeping the blinds closed didn't help lower the temp either.
We enjoyed being on the lake with the views and sounds and wildlife and activity. The luxuriously comfortable leather chairs facing the lake was an experience all it's own. The sparkling wine and milk were greatly appreciated.

We recently stayed at Edelweiss in Ambleside. Property was delightful. Clean, well maintained, offering everything advertised. Handy for a short walk to town and all the amenities it has to offer, lots of beautiful low fell walks around. Would definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay at Longmire Yeat Cottage. The location is idyllic and the cottage was bursting with character. It was well equipped with everything you need for a relaxing stay, We loved the dual log burners upstairs and down, the cottage was super cosy and comfy! The access was narrow but this just added to the experience of staying in such a unique property. My eldest daughter especially loved the loft bedroom and having her own stairs and space, My youngest loved being adjoined to the main bedroom (there’s a door joining the single bedroom to the superking bedroom) overall amazing little break with Lakeland retreats, will definitely be using this company again in the future.

Having just returned home from a Lakeland Retreats property (White Gables) the property was beyond my expectations. The booking procedure was easy and the communications from Lakeland Retreats was comprehensive yet adequately clear. The property was spotlessly clean and all the bedding and provided towels etc were immaculate. The kitchen was fully equipped with plenty of extra storage. The property was superb being positioned to allow peace and quiet whilst yet being reasonably central to Grasmere village. The Arts & Crafts interior with period pieces in all rooms tastefully complemented the architectural design of the building. The interior decor made the house all the more appealing and even given the unsettled weather it was a joy to stay at White Gables. The house as a holiday let does the owners proud and given my recent experience I will both be booking with Lakeland Retreats again and rebooking another stay at White Gables in the future…..this time for two weeks not one!

Absolutely fantastic week at The Small House. The beautiful snow helped...stunning views. This place is perfect. Really well designed, individual, tasteful, great little touches, very cosy and love the open plan downstairs.....really sociable. So kind to leave a welcome bottle of fizz and those toiletries are divine. I love that interiors all local as well. Electric charging a huge bonus. Will definitely be back!

We had a really enjoyable short break in corner cottage and would definitely recommend. The cottage was finished to a very high spec and was really comfortable. Everything was thought about to make your stay special from the bottle of Prosecco and milk in the fridge and little guide of places to visit and eat. We used this and found a lovely place in Windermere for breakfast. The bed is really comfortable and the kitchen has everything you need to prepare food yourself if you want to. The views from the bedroom were lovely and there are lovely picnic areas and a play area for football and games. It’s close to Windermere but far enough away to enjoy the peaceful surroundings. We will definitely be returning

Ross Cottage was cozy, comfortable, clean and in the perfect location. As four adults who have visited The Lakes for years, we had never stayed in Hawkshead. It turned out to be perfect for our needs. Many lovely walks from the door, a couple of great local pubs, shops and restaurants on the doorstep and very peaceful too. The weather turned out to be very cold and bright, so were able to make use of the log fire every evening, which was perfect. There were a couple of very minor issues which, when reported, were dealt with very swiftly. All in all, a great place to stay with a management agency that ensured that everything was spot on. Would happily return.
