The visit to Lagg Distillery was overall enjoyable. The location was beautiful and the facilities were well-maintained.

However, the experience at the bar left much to be desired. The staff at the bar were not particularly friendly and there was hesitation when I asked for a takeaway of the driver’s dram which I’m paying for. It was an awkward moment that felt unnecessarily uncomfortable.

As someone who appreciates the brand and came all the way from Asia, I didn’t expect this kind of service. Hopefully, the team can improve on hospitality to better match the spirit of the distillery.

We cycled round Arran and stopped at Lagg distillery for lunch. Great food, coffee, view and nice shop for whisky and gifts. Wish I had brought a back pack! Really friendly and helpful staff and will be back again. Has cycle parking and lovely toilets too.

A very modern distillery so not so much history in the buildings but that made for a different type of experience.
The building has been done very tastefully and has some wonderful views which was perfect to enjoy whilst I partook in my whisky and chocolate pairing experience. Very much enjoyed it and the chocolates were all made on Arran too.

Fantastic distillery!! The building was interestingly cool and the view from the cafe and the lounge was amazing. The distillery sells a variety of peaty whiskey and the bast part is that you are allowed to sample some on the second flower lounge. The sandwiches in the cafe were very yummy and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. Also love the crafts in the shop.

Cosy sister distillery of the lochranza distillery (Arran) lagg is the peated version with similar cask management. Unlike like at lochranza here you can actually get to try for free both distillery Edition (Px small batch was amazing) and their core range. A nice chat with the gentleman in the shop informed me that the peat levels going into the mash is 50 to 55 bpm so expect half of that coming out. The regular sherry edition has a nice peat to it both nose and after flavor. The sherry however does not come out as it could. I needed to really search for the sherry influence. In the Px distillery edition that was not the case. In nose and palete it's sherry dominant and a bit lower peat level then the regular edition. Each to their liking but I preferred the px small batch.

Just popped in on our drive around the coast, but had a great welcome and tried some fantastic drams. The younger, rebellious sister to Lochranza distillery, they’re producing some really great stuff and I hope we can return and spend more time there next time

Lovely distillery with a nice cafe and whiskey testing area. The building is very modern and there are frequent tours taking you round the distillery, they can range if from £5 and upwards for more premium tours. The place only opened in 2019 so the whisky is very young but is definitely a must visit if on the island.
