Was welcomed on arrival, given advice on places to visit and places to eat. Apartment was very clean and well-maintained, no issues. Even came out to say goodbye to us. Beautiful historic house.

The apartment was fantastic, a home from home, beautiful stunning views, the host was warm and welcoming. Perfect location for exploring Arran, we stayed 5 nights and loved every moment of it. Comfortable bed, good shower. We had a meal out at the Drift Inn which I can also highly recommend and booking a table is essential.|Kinneil is a fab place to stay, it’s a beautiful building and our apartment was called Eagle, the view had a balcony to sit out on and enjoy the sea view and holy Isle. We would return without reservation, we both had a great experience, taking away magical memories

My Husband and I have been visiting Kinneil for the past 4 years. At this point , it feels like a home away from home. Ute is always so welcoming and helpful, the apartment is clean and comfortable and well equipped with everything you need. The balcony has the most spectacular view over the holy isle, our dog especially loves to sit on the balcony! We cant explain how much we love our visits to kinneil, the perfect base for our perfect holiday! Thank you so much as always!

Have been a regular here over many years. Lovely apartments and probably the best view on the island. We keep returning year after year. Lovely garden to relax in and soak up the view and the peaceful atmosphere. Restaurants and pubs within easy walking distance. Excellent situation.

We booked Apartment Eagle for a week in July 2023. On arrival, the host had the doors open as, in her words, it was a bit stuffy. We soon found it was more than that. The bathroom reeked as if the sewer was broken and there were very nasty, gagging smells in the kitchen/sitting room and bedroom. The apartment seems to have been last decorated many years ago, and nothing updated since. We were also informed on arrival that there would be a £45 cleaning fee if we did not do the cleaning before we left. The smells were too bad for us to remain and by good luck we managed to find alternative accommodation and moved out of Eagle a few hours after we arrived. The host agreed a full refund, but then found a clean empty tin in the rubbish bin (which we had left) so she charged us for one night. At first the refund was to be by bank transfer, but on sending our details nothing arrived. I spoke to her again and she said she would send a cheque, which did arrive, and clear. We consider we got off lightly, but would strongly advise against anyone staying there.

This is a large detached house built for a former shipowner, and has been converted to apartments. (Beware if mobility problems, that there are several steps to the front door and no hand rail.) We stayed at the start of May for 5 nights in Vesta, ground floor apartment with 1 double bedded bedroom. ||||It looked as if Vesta's bedroom and entry lobby had been partitioned from part of the large high ceilinged living cum dining room, but that was fine. The main room had been furnished in vintage large items to go with the period, but also had a TV and DVD player and free reasonable wifi. The bedroom had a wide and comfortable double bed.||||In contrast, at the back the small bathroom and large kitchen were modern and well equipped.||||All the heating was electric and mainly on a timer and was fine when we had learnt how to control it! It was cold when we there and heating the kitchen was difficult, but we preferred to eat in the front with the view!||||The only slight problem was that the lighting could have been brighter in the main room and especially in the bedroom. The latter did not any natural light being at the back of the main room, and did not have enough overall electric light and the bedside lamps were too dim and not placed to assist reading. ||||There are large grounds in front with a steepish drive to the main Brodick to Lamlash road at the Lamlash end. (Our Sat Nat led us to the back drive and door! The correct entry is further down the hill with a large sign on the right saying Kinneil and a group of newer houses.)||||It is just above the main and flat Lamlash village road, and there is a reasonable Co-op, a bakery, an Indian takeaway and a choice of places to eat in the village. Brodick is only 10 minutes away by car and is slightly larger and with more facilities including a much larger Co-op.||||We found our hosts pleasant and helpful.

I really needed this holiday. After 2 days I could feel the tension melting away. Ignore the scary reviews on here....owner Marcellus is a perfect gentleman and Ute was away but helpful via emails. Owner helpful yet does not intrude so you get plenty of privacy. We stayed in Vesta apartment. Old world large lounge, lovely dark wood fittings. Bedroom is in area sectioned off perfectly fine, quite bohemian and continental looking but no window so can be a bit airless at night because we are used to sleeping with an open window but no hardship. Lovely bright kitchen with everything you need. Good quality glasses and tableware. Beautiful view from lounge window. Really peaceful. Lamlash also lovely, I recommend visit to the Holy Isle and the Pier Cafe cakes are to die for. Tomorrow is our last day. Would definitely come again. Got my much needed rest and recuperation. O and the bathroom seems newly decorated with brand new shower...it all works fine. Book here and you will not regret it.

This was our fourth time @ Kinneil, second time in the Eagle Apartment, we've also stayed in the Brodick and Vesta. Every one has been top notch for us. We took our 7 year old grandson with us this time and he loved it as well. It's the perfect place to relax after a busy day sight seeing on Arran with perfect hosts who are very welcoming with good local knowledge.|The apartments have all you need to make your stay comfortable. |We are already talking about our next trip. We shall return.! 🤓
