Little gem of a museum tucked away inside. We spent around an hour wandering around reading and then there is the old Gaol as well to wander around.
Really informative & only £3.95 each excellent value for money

I usually love a tourist information office but my gosh this one was poor. The lady managed to be smiley yet astonishingly unhelpful. She volunteered no information about what was on. I asked about an audio trail leaflet which I couldn’t get to work but she just said ‘oh I don’t really know about that!’. Asked about Wi-Fi to which she vaguely and unpromisingly said ‘try such-and-such a password’. The only time she seemed bothered to do anything was when I accidentally went through a door into the paid exhibition area, at which point she rushed over to berate me. Really, really poor service. No idea what she was doing on her computer but she certainly gave the impression that it was a lot more important than a mere visitor (even though we were the only people in there!).

The lady, seemingly in charge over her co-worker, was extremely officious, sharp, unfriendly, snobbish. Between the two of them they did in fact contact 3 places where my wife and I might stay and eventually we hit on an old coaching house in Downham Market.
