We boarded and waited only 5 minutes for enough people to get under way. Tickets can be bought at the IceCream kiosk or on the boat if ypu have cash.

As it was a saturday lunchtime the river was teeming with canoes. Over 100 during our 40+ minute trip. There was also plenty birdlife around and my son saw at least 1 fish leap out.

The boat is very steady and the skipper gives plenty local info about the sights you will see. There are no refreshments on board so bring your own.

The views are great, the ride is smooth and its a beautiful place to be.

Family had a great time. Good value for what it is. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area. Serve hot drinks on the boat. Nearby paid parking available. Those with mobility difficulties should come with assistance

The trip gives you a lovely view of the waterfront up stream as far as the rapids, including the church accessed by boat, the commentary is full of information about the river its fishing records and about the building and wildlife. Explains why Nelson ordered the planting of the oak forest. The Swiss cottage and the railway.
It's a pity you cannot book, so get there early if you want one of the few seats outside in the rear.
You can pay by card despite what it says on the website.

Very informative cruise on the river can highly recommend nice sitting outside but quite a bit of engine noise you can get a cup of tea on board brought to your seat

A really enjoyable cruise in the sun, and came away a little more knowledgeable! If you get there early and sit outside on the boat, it's a good place to see some fishies. I wondered if it was salmon as spoken about on the cruise!

Lovely boat trip along the river and informative commentary.
Passing families using the river, canoes, paddle boards. And the little church at the side of the river is so lovely.
