Kayak Summer Isles - Ullapool

Truly honoured to have had the opportunity to complete a full days sea kayaking trip around the Summer Isles with Will Copstake.

We had amazing weather for November, blue sky and fantastic views of the majestic mountains all around us.

My family have varied abilities in kayaking, some never having sea kayaked but Will was tremendous. We had some choppy waters and he couched and navigated us all across and around the sea like the expert that he is.

Will is very knowledgeable and filled our trip with interesting facts about the area, wildlife, sea and wind.

The equipment used is top class and Will explains all about the equipment and how to use it properly.

We enjoyed an amazing 6 hours on the sea with a lovely lunch break on a little Island with freshly made hot chocolate.

We saw various wildlife and were joined by several seals and were lucky enough to see a baby grey seal, while keeping our distance respectfully.

This is a life enhancing experience in the very safe hands of Will Copstake of Kayak Summer Isles and one which we as a family highly recommend.

Amazing!!! A must do experience with an amazing guide in some of the most stunning scenery around Scotland. This was by far our best day out of all 2 weeks of our trip around Scotland! Will is a lovely, knowledgeable, personable, fun and friendly guy who made me (nervous on water) feel very comfortable and safe. We had a brilliant sunny calm day on the water which helped, Will talked to us about local plants, birds, sea life and history, and had amazing knowledge of the waters and natural life around us. We went into a cave, which was very cool, and around some stunning summer isle coastlines, we saw some jellyfish, a deer and lots of a seabirds. We will 100% be doing the full day tour or be of the overnight trips when we come back. Absolutely worth the money (not too pricey either!).Would recommend to anyone and everyone visiting the area as a must do experience.

Will was our guide and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. He was knowledgeable, fun, helpful, and just an all around cool guy to spend a few days with. We did the Suiliven overnight canoe trip and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a unique Scottish experience.

The excellent reviews speak for themselves. This was honestly one of the best experiences I have ever been on. Will was incredibly professional, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. At times I felt like I was out on a paddle with some great friends rather than a guided tour, the whole group got on very well and we saw some amazing wildlife. Luckily, we were blessed with incredible sunny weather and calm seas which allowed us to travel around 2 of the Summer Isles. Will had prepared all of our equipment ahead of time which meant a swift briefing gear up and head out onto the water. The whole experience was faultless and the highlight of our trip around Scotland. I found myself googling Sea Kayaks later in our camper-van ready to take it up as a hobby. You will not be disappointed.

Choose your own adventure! We had such a lovely time. Great gear, great guide and a very unique experience with Kayak Summer Isles. Our canoe/hike/camp was one of the highlights of our Scotland trip. Highly recommend this company, we had so much fun!

If you are interested in sea kayaking in Scotland I can’t recommend them enough. No matter what ability or weather conditions, the trip will be tailored to suit. Fantastic day out on the water with Will. He is a great guide; calm, confident, friendly and knowledgeable. We set off for an adventurous day on the water, landing on islands inhabited only by wildlife, spied on by seals, visiting sea caves and learning about life on the cliffs. Amazing!
Before we left Will made sure everyone was settled and happy in their kayaks and fully kitted up with top quality gear.

Fantastic trip with Will. Could not recommend his Sea Kayaking adventures more. The amount of care and effort he put into our overnight trip was next to none. For example, he cooked some tasty meals for dinner, lunch and breakfast, took us on an interesting route that suited our level of experience and talked through all local history, wildlife and current activities around the Summer Isles down to Ullapool and beyond. Added bonus was seeing dolphins and white-tailed eagles of course. The kit was top of the range and you felt comfortable and safe the entire time. Thanks Will for taking my Dad and me on one of the best things I’ve done in the UK!
