I strongly recommend avoiding both booking through and listing with this company.

Just Stay Wales used to have a solid reputation, but since being taken over by StayRight, everything has gone downhill. What was once a well-run local property company is now being run into the ground, as seen in the flood of recent 1-star reviews.

We stayed at one of their Swansea properties, paying a premium rate (£2,200 for 4 nights), and had one of the worst experiences we have ever had with a rental company. Despite multiple confirmations that someone would meet us with keys at our agreed upon checkin time, we arrived in the evening to a locked building and no staff. Their phone line had already closed, leaving my elderly parents and me stranded outside until a passing building worker, who said this “happens all the time with StayRight/Just Stay Wales,” took pity on us and let us in.

Inside, the property was clearly neglected: a toilet left used and unflushed (I'll spare you the photos...) with a strong odour that made a bedroom nearly unusable, dirty towels stuffed into drawers, and a general sense the place had not been cleaned or checked in some time. The booking also listed a long list of amenities which were not there, including basic items like soap.

Management’s idea of “making it right” was offering a token £100 refund on a £2,200 booking, which weeks later still has not appeared. I am not confident I will ever see it.

For property owners: would you trust a company with this level of service to represent your home?
For guests: are the views worth the chaos, filth, and lack of accountability?

Worst stay ever. We stayed at our place for three nights and upon arriving on the first night one of the bathrooms was left uncleaned. There was someone else’s shit in one of the toilets. The company promised to give us a refund and we still haven’t seen it. Truly the worst company out there. No one should stay with them. It’s become my mission to spread the news on how poorly this company operates in hopes they go out of business.

Just Wales is very dubious company, they demand customers to send very private documents to a not safe browser. They confirm bookings and then they persuade users to cancel and charge double. Booking.com does not allow complaints on this site so they are both not to trust

The room was filthy and the bed was broken. I complained and they eventually refunded £40 even though I paid nearly £200 for my stay. There was also an additional security charge I had to pay on the day I arrived - there was no mention of this when I booked.

The big advantage of Airbnb was always that you dealt with owners not Letting Agents. Letting Agents such as this are useless people unable to do any other job
Now sadly they've muscled in on Airbnb and bring their own brand of incompetence.
My evidence?
The admin of our check-in was very unprofessional.
We weren't emailed instructions and WHILE SITTING OUTSIDE THE FLAT had to find scans of my passport and bank statement.
After instructions, we spent an hour standing in the freezing cold night unable to get in. Eventually WE realised Savannah had sent instructions for the wrong flat and she genuinely had no idea where our flat was. She had no idea where the flat they let out was, but I eventually found it.
Wrong parking instructions given (she said "Park anywhere").
The hot water didn't work, which meant 2 hours talking to Jesse who had no idea how to help and no contacts to ask. But her mobile number has a South Africa code so probably hard to find a plumber from 6000 miles away.
She did nothing, so I spent two hours getting the hot water to work. She did ask me if if the boiler had the correct pressure. There's no boiler here. She knew nothing.
There was no cleaning stuff in the flat.
The flat is in a great location, but everything is the cheapest they could get.
Tiny rubbish telly, no curtains in the bedroom, cheapo uncomfortable mattress. Four forks.
We asked to speak to Jany (who earlier reviewers said was good) but were told No.
It's a good flat let down by amateur letting agents.

Perhaps a larger TV, but otherwise very impressed.
Fantastic views across the beach from the Juliette balcony. Handy nearby secure parking (although maybe tight for some cars/drivers). Very helpful staff at Just Stay Wales just couldn't do enough to help with check in, queries etc - which made it all the better. Thanks! Very well equipped including unexpected extras like toiletries, washing up liquid, salt, pepper, cooking oil and cleaning products.

I would never trust this company again, I was cheated by a double booking. Booking.com does not allow bad reviews on the properties of Just Wales so they are both not to trust.
