I was interested in your ‘Lord of the Glens holiday but disappointed that I was probably going to be sitting in a coach for some time for the transfer from Glasgow to Inverness! Surely it would be better to take the train to Edinburgh and be able to see the places of interest on the Royal mile then take the fairly short journey by train to Inverness?
At the end of the holiday in Glasgow the Renee Macintosh School of Art and tea rooms are equally worth visiting.
Many people from the south of England will never have been to Scotland and would like to make the very most of this opportunity!
Your sincerely.

I went on the River Cruise on the Hoogly River in India. It was absolutely fabulous - crew very attentive, food excellent and interesting and some great escorted days ashore - I couldn't fault it! Thank you Jules Verne - I will be back!

Absolutely appalling holiday to Mexico with Jules Verne. Hotels were dreadful, service appalling. Only breakfast given, even though travelling sometimes for 16 hours. Breakfasts were limited and hotels poor. Felt like a budget holiday. Standards have dropped dramatically this year. My husband had his head split open at immigration in Guatemala, because immigration would not allow the bus in to pick us up we had to walk and a barrier came down on his head. Jules Verne accepted no responsibility and offered us only 300 pounds compensation. One guide was dreadful, the buses were uncomfortable and one had centralised air conditioning so the bus was either too cold or too hot.
No water was given.
Hotels in Guatemala were better and Guide excellent.
When we got back into Mexico from Guatemala the itinerary was altered and no compensation given.
The sites were amazing however.

Transylvanian holiday. Holiday content was good, hotels also OK. 1750 km on a coach whilst there was hard. I became very Ill with food poisoning having eaten undercooked chicken at an included lunch. Care from both Rep whilst on holiday was non existent and then from VJV on return where their only concern was centred on blame deflection.
Sorry, would not recommend this company.

They are a good travel agent for upper middle class and have some diverse itineraries and options , have used them since a decade or more they are good value for money and helpful and polite and friendly ! For my land travels and river cruises I have used them often ! But mostly in Russia China Japan Egypt Tunisia and South Africa and Central America ! They give a good service for their clientele and the guides are reasonably pleasant though they can be a bit overwhelming at times but than nothing is perfect ! I am resuming my travels with them after this man made fascist propaganda pandemonium of a pandemic and hope god opens his world and planet to me again amen

We enjoyed our holiday, organised by Jules Verne, it was the return home that was the issue.
Another tour group arranged the early flights, Luxor - Cairo, to pick up the Heathrow flight that afternoon, Jules Berne arranged the early afternoon flight.
Which was late.
So we missed the connection and had to spend the night in a hotel chosen by Egyptair.
The Le Passage at Cairo airport.
Which was horrible.
I wondered if Jules Verne would hide behind the ‘nothing to do with me, contact Egyptair’ nonsense and, guess what… ?
They did.
No discussion about how this sort of situation might be avoided in the future or, indeed, our thoughts on how the Egypt holiday might be improved.
Nope… they have our money and that’s that.
Well they won’t have anymore of it.
Ever.

I have to update this review. I have been made to feel dreadful by the group and the so called tour manager because I have a cold. N.B. It is not covid. I was told to spend the rest of my holiday in my room and not eat with the group. The tour manager sat there and said nothing when she could have spoken up in particularas there are plentyof other peopleon the boat with colds who are not being ostracised. A rep from another company pointed out that the VJV rep clearly had no experience of dealing with people as she was too young for the job.I should have learned from the previous trip with VJV as they booked the wrong flight so we missed our riverboat and had to have a mad dash in a small coach to catch up. Never again with VJV.
