I was initially impressed by Joseph Casson Estate Agency — the senior manager was courteous, knowledgeable, and provided a realistic valuation that inspired confidence.

Unfortunately, the follow-up appointment to photograph my property was deeply disappointing. The representative arrived without greeting, displayed a dismissive attitude, and appeared unprepared — even questioning whether I had signed the agreement, despite having completed and returned it five days earlier along with all required documents. He also asked whether I wanted a video tour, which had already been agreed and included in the fee package, adding to the confusion and sense of disregard.

Promised timelines for listing my property online were missed. I received a message claiming the listing had just gone live, but it failed to appear that day or the following morning. Communication felt inconsistent, and the professional tone I had initially experienced was not upheld.

Although I appreciated the strong first interaction, the overall experience fell short of professional standards. I chose to withdraw within the cooling-off period to preserve my trust and dignity.

I found these guys excellent, after feeling let down and mis lead by another estate agent I called Joseph Casson’s Bridgwater office following a recommendation from a friend, it was the best move I made. They were honest and realistic from the word go, got my property sold as promised and I found them extremely flexible. I dealt with Gabriel (Gabe) mostly and found him fantastic!! If I sell again, it will be these lads handling it for me 100%

We've been dealing with the team at Joseph Casson over the last few months whilst buying a property in Somerset. All of the team have been responsive and ultra professional from the first viewings all the way through to completion, they are always happy to help move the process forwards and personal calls to check-in on progress.
I would specifically call out Simon who helped us during the buying stage, with excellent local knowledge of the house and area and communicating honestly and openly throughout.
Additionally, Haydon has been helping through the completion phase, it has been a complex process and he has remained positive and ensuring good communications between us and the seller and helping move us forward when discussions were ongoing.

Top marks for this company who sold our late father’s property within the first week. The house was previously on with another agent for over 9 months. This time it was valued appropriately and we received the full asking price. The communication and service we received through to completion was excellent. I would highly recommend engaging in their services, their fee structure is very fair and very different to other agents in the town. Top marks.

Very poor service from top to bottom.

After arranging a valuation, receiving an email on the day and replying 12 minutes later (8.12am reply to 8am email) to confirm going ahead at 5pm, was then a no show and only found out they had given the slot to someone else on ringing them.

I asked for a complaint for after the very poor service from both this and the manner of the person on the phone, only to find out I had spoken to the MD themselves when I rang.

If they can not keep their word at the start of the process and mess you about , I doubt they will ever have your interests at heart so would avoid attempting to sell with this company

From initial consultation right up to completion the team at Joseph Cassons were fantastic! Highly professional, efficient and helpful throughout the process taking the stress out of moving. I would thoroughly recommend!
