I and my friends have traveled in Japan with service from Tokyo City Tour several times for more than 5 years. Always been impressed with the itinerary, hotel, guide, and services. Kuni, Shino, and the team are very nice , helpful, and service-minded. They do the best effort to fulfill customers requirement. Our recent trip to Nagano in late May 2024 was even more impressed. We did have a great time in Matsumoto, Kamikochi, Shirahone Onsen, Suwa. We stayed at several lovely, beautiful, superb ryokans with onsen. Thanks to fantastic arrangement of Tokyo City Tour. Moreover, Kuni san, treated us with a very special dinner and even welcomed us to his lovely house. This really be meaningful to our freindship.
We definitely be back to Japan with service from Tokyo City Tour.

I visited Japan Sept 14 - Sept 20 as part of a Private Package Tour and overall, I had a great Experience with Japan City Tour. Totally Recommend this Travel Agency.
Itinerary Review: I wanted to visit a special Museum in Japan that was not include in one of their private package tour. The Staff was able to help me with my special request and were flexible with my itinerary. They added the special Museum into my Disney/Universal Private Tour. I'm very thankful for that since the Museum was one of the reason I wanted to visit Japan this year.
Tour Guides: All tour guides and the drivers were all amazing. I got two different tour guides: One for Tokyo and the other in Osaka. They both were very Wonderful and unique. They answer all my questions and shared many fun facts during my trip.
Documentation: Japan City Tour Staff help me to gather all requirement document on time for the Visa. That's include the ERFS document. I recommend to bring copy of this documents just in case during immigration.
In addition: i recommend to apply MySos app, immigration and Customs online. The process for me was very fast at the Haneda Airport since i uploaded all document in advance.
In Conclusion, I had a awesome experience with Japan City Tour. Totally Recommend this Travel Agency.

Amazing service with the most kind and polite people! Our travel to Japan was so memorable and having a guide to educate us along the way made the trip more memorable. I'll definitely be back with my partner to try the various tour options throughout the seasons.

We had an amazing trip to Japan. The iteniary was well scheduled and organised. We got to see the main places of interest, Tokyo,Kyoto, Nara, Hiroshima and Osaka. It involved a lot of walking, going up and down stairs etc so definitely require good walking shoes and be prepared to be out and about for full days. The guides were punctual and friendly, accommodating . Vegetarian food was a little challenging to find but is available, just requires a bit of research and forward planning. The guides were good at seeking out some Vegetarian /Vegan restaurants during our guided tours for lunch. Public toilets were very clean . Service of tour operator was excellent and the chosen hotels were great especially with regards to good location within the cities with easy access to public transportation . Overall would highly recommend this trip and using Tokyo City Tours

Yuki was our personal guide, and his attention to detail as well as his flexibility to adjust our schedule on the fly was greatly appreciated, as traveling with to young children can be a challenge. Having all our transportation needs already handled was the only way to go. Mahalo Yuki and Japan City Tour!

I purchased the 7 day Japan tour for a group of three for July. Communication through email had been very easy for us, and they worked with us to tailor our tour for us. The only thing we were in charge of was getting to and from Japan. They scheduled our transportations, accommodations, and booked our experiences for us!
Our group waited too late in telling Japan City Tour about certain experiences, so we missed out on them. Be sure to tell them way in advance about booking or reserving experiences (like the kirby or pokemon cafe, for example).
We had two tour guides for our trip, Hiro and Lisa. Hiro was our tour guide for Tokyo while Lisa was our tour guide for Kyoto. Both tour guides were very sweet, accommodating, and knowledgeable. We missed them most when leaving Japan! They were not afraid to stray from the planned itinerary, especially since our group was small.
Another thing to note is that for this specific package, transportation is only included during the tour hours. They will give you train passes (usually on a lanyard) at the start of the tour, and the guides will take them back once they drop you back off to your accommodation. So, for any train you wish to use before or after your tour time starts, you will have to purchase tickets on your own. Tour time for this package was from 9am to 5pm.
We also needed to purchase train tickets on our own for the theme parks. While the company will book theme park tickets for you, you will be in charge of going and returning from there. None of the extra train tickets we bought were expensive, and the ticket machines are easy to use and understand after the first time of us using them, so you will have no problem if you wish to explore before or after your tour time!
Meals that were provided was mostly lunch. The breakfast that is included is the hotels complimentary breakfast, so it's up to you if you wish to get your breakfast elsewhere. The breakfast at Royal Park Iconic Shiodome and Kyoto Century Hotel were delicious, so we ate breakfast at the hotels! We also did the Ryokan experience at Kinoe Ryokan for one night. Here, dinner and breakfast are included in the price. Highly recommend if you're interested even a little bit in traditional accommodations and food. Meals for theme park days are also up to you. We ate the complimentary breakfast at the hotel, snacked around the theme parks and ate lunch at the theme parks, and then ate at local restaurants for dinner. In summary, dinner will be out of pocket and breakfast and lunch are included.
Japan City Tour made my first trip to Japan fun and exciting! I learned a lot more than I would have if I planned all of this alone. Again, the guides are amazing at what they do, and we talk about how much we miss them all the time! When I next visit Japan (hopefully soon), I will be sure to book one of the tour packages this company has to offer!

Responded pretty quickly after the first inquiry then went silent thereafter. However, they do update the website from time to time with their take on the latest guidelines and measures. However, as the tours also require communications via email for enquires and booking, which often doesn't receive any responses, it is also redundant to use.
You would probably be left with the choice to accept one of the several fixed packages available instead. Some of which comes with the service to provide documents for application of visa to Japan under the current circumstances. Nonetheless, these self-guided packages are rather pricey and it is priced in USD instead of JPY as well.
It is still a possible viable option if you intend to travel under the current measures if you are able to establish consistent communications with them.
