Lovely stay here with great views and even better food in the restaurant! We had a small room but it was perfectly fine with a pleasantly soft mattress. The hotel staff was extremely helpful and friendly. It’s the perfect location to explore the Isle of Mull! One minus point for the spa/swimming pool area which looked a bit run down and didn’t match up to the photos online. It wasn’t as luxurious as it’s made out to be.

Stayed here for three nights with a group of 12.|From the moment our bus pulled into the car park to when we left we were looked after by all the staff.|Having been to many Scottish hotels and observed the gloomy disinterested attitude of many this place was a revelation. ALL the staff were excellent and helpful, all chatted, all seemed content. Particular mention to the restaurant which ran very efficiently apparently commanded by Remma, I believe her name was.|Food was great throughout our time , the rooms were in my opinion spot on, clean and with modern/retro furniture, and stocked with wonderfully smelly soap and replenished daily with chocolate.|I have nothing negative to say, our stay was excellent.

Everything at the hotel was darling and comfortable. The decor was lovely and we felt right at home. Stewart the manager was so very helpful and gave us good tips about the ferry! You can do standby but can't hurt to get a ticket in advance. The food was delicious and the entire staff was helpful and so kind.

What can I say about this hotel and especially the restaurant.

Simply, amazing!

The staff are amazing and act like one big family, it has a proper island feel around the place and some of the best restaurant views in Scotland. The dinner and breakfast are superb.

Amazing restaurant and bar staff.

The photos are from the window tables in the restaurant. Can you find better?

I really wanted to love this place; it's good but it's not the luxury one would expect at four stars and at this price point. The views from the bedroom and the lounging areas/bar are amazing. The bistro serves good food and the portions are good, if you're willing to eat on sofas and low tables. The room was clean, the bed was large (super king) and mattress and bedding very comfortable. Staff were all helpful and nice. It's a good place to stay and treat yourself overall, however, there were too many details that were short of the high standards one would expect at this level.
The hotel is located far from any village, which could be good on one hand, but hard even to find anything else nearby without a 30-minute drive. The bistro has cocktails on the menu but management imposed staff not to sell any for some reason. The was complete lack of any storage in the bedroom (no wardrobe, drawers, not even a stool to place the suitcase). The toilet is installed in the corner of the bathroom with roll holder and radiator in the way, impossible to seat properly. The water pressure on the sink was ridiculously low, hard to even wash hands or brush teeth: we reported it at reception, they said they'd look immediately but nothing was done (surprisingly the shower pressure was good). There was mould in the shower, the curtains were stained.
The swimming pool itself certainly does not have "spa" vibes, more of a communal pool; I was immediately told to put my phone away as it is a "no mobile" area, when I wanted to chill at the pool side listening to some musing with my headphones.
I had the feeling waiting staff were doing all they could to give us the best experience, but the management should really do more for this hotel.
I will write a separate review for the restaurant.

Firstly, contrary to what some of the other reviews say, we did not find this to be a dirty hotel. However I can see why some would say it needs some money spent and TLC, but didnt think it was especially bad. ||The food and staff really made this stay stand out. The bistro was expensive but we thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Service was top tier and the staff were happy to help at all times during our stay.||The hotel is dog friendly and the outdoor paths make it ideal if you have a little 4 legged friend with you.||Overall we had a blast and would recommend staying.

Positives:
Stunning views, peaceful at night, mostly friendly staff, and the sauna was decent (but small).

Negatives:
The restaurant was overpriced, so most guests opted for the bar food. Unfortunately, all food, drinks, and payments had to go through a single staff member, leading to long waits (10-20 minutes just to order). With no table numbers, staff were constantly wandering around trying to find the right tables — it felt chaotic and dis-organised, especially for a hotel at this price point.

Easily fixable with a basic ordering app and table numbers... small changes that would make a big difference to the customer experience.

Very nice hotel, lovely rooms and facilities, excellent service from the staff. Spa facilities are nice but limited. We booked the hot tub in line with their policy but had an awkward exchange with some people who were in there who hadn’t booked. Also the sound proofing was not really up to standard - we were in a deluxe room and woken before 6am both days due to noise from the room next door.
