A really personal service, so different from other cottage holiday providers.
So nice to feel you are talking to a nice human being not just a sales person.
Always a prompt response to any question , totally reassuring.

We booked a lodge for two weeks through Isle of Mull cottages and due to unforeseen circumstances I had to come home after 2 days. Isle of Mull cottages allowed us to transfer our second week holiday to friends. I rang Lauren, who was fantastic, and within an hour she had sorted it for us. Absolutely fantastic customer care I wish the same could have been said for holiday cottages.com who couldn’t even be bothered to respond to my email about cancelling our previous holiday, due to illness, the previous week on the Isle of Skye. I would highly recommend Isle of Mull Cottages for people thinking of renting their property out as you obviously get happy customers, as well as if you are looking for a holiday let. A big thank you again to Lauren for making this very stressful time a little easier

Fabulous, comfortable, well-equipped house in a lovely, peaceful location.
Several excellent walks straight from the property.
Tobermory and Calgary Bay both within a 20 minute drive so a great location for exploring the northern half of the island.
Note: due to the nature of the single track roads (which are part of the charm of Mull) it will take a minimum of 2 hours to drive to Fionnphort.
The Bellacroy Hotel in Dervaig is exactly one mile from the house (so easily walkable for most) and serves very good food - booking is essential though.
Ar Bord restaurant (in a private house just above Dervaig) is excellent.
Great house, stunningly beautiful island, good weather, very few midges = fantastic holiday 😊

Hazelbank is a lovely, cosy and well situated cottage for exploring the islands of Mull and Iona.
Though it is only a small property it had everything we needed and it was spotlessly clean on our arrival.
We most definitely highly recommend Hazelbank and Isle of Mull Cottages and look forward to our next visit there.

The cottage is ideally located for traveling around the Island, and fairly well equipped though glasses etc were minimal. Sadly our holiday was spoilt when the coffee table collapsed on my wife's foot causing pain and injury. While the caretaker was quick to respond the agent was dismissive at best and quick to point out it had nothing to do with them READ THE SMALL PRINT before you book. The big downside of the location was buses / coaches etc using the front of the cottage as a 'passing place' pull off / drop off - meaning privacy and noise were impacted.

Lovely cottage in a lovely location. Overall had everything we needed with a great garden for the dog. The only downside was the uncomfortable bed and poor water pressure in shower and toilet, that may though be unavoidable in Mull.

THE POD, SCOOR, ISLAND OF MULL

I’m not sure I have enough superlatives in my vocabulary to describe our delightful stay at The Pod (June 2024). The accommodation itself is small but for us, it was absolutely perfect. Everything we could possibly need was provided and it was warm and very clean.

To get to The Pod you do have to drive a 2 miles torturous route along a farm track - but I promise it is worth the effort. For once there, you immediately realise what a beautifully isolated location it is. From the large window overlooking the valley, you could see the north coast and the Treshnish Isles in the distance and on two evenings, the sunset could only be described as divine. We just couldn’t take enough photographs to do it justice.

From the accommodation we could walk to the nearest beach at Kilvickeon (about 30 minutes flat walk). The beach was unbelievably beautiful - like a tropical beach with white sand - and almost completely deserted. As we sat there, an otter swam into view hunting in the shallows.

In the opposite direction, you can walk to the Shiaba ruins - a village occupied by 350 people until it was abandoned at the end of the 18th century during the ‘ Highland clearances’. Numerous buildings remain at the site which give you an immense sense of the history of the place. The walk to get there is well worth the effort for the 180 degrees view across the bay is breathtaking. Whilst there we heard and saw lapwings, skylarks, a merlin and curlews - the latter of which treated us continuously to their calls - probably warning that we could be getting near to their nest site. We also discovered a perfect echo across the valley and this effect made the curlew’s call sound all the more etheral. A most amazing experience.

From the picture window in The Pod, we saw wagtail, wheatear, hooded crow, kestrel, heron, stonechat, raven, red deer, water vole, and one sighting of a hen harrier.

I just couldn’t recommend this as a place to stay any more highly. I will always remember it with great affection and memories of a truly wonderful holiday.

Katrine Cottage
Beautiful cottage, very well appointed with lovely comfy beds. The view is spectacular and worth staying there for alone. Just 2 small steps to the cottage at the back door with handrail so quite accessible. Highly recommended.
