The talk given was so interesting. Fabulous. Really glad that we finally got tickets. Wouldn’t recommend for young children. The hut itself was fascinating too.

An interesting and informative experience.
The enthusiasm and knowledge of all concerned was clear and made the visit worthwhile.
The event was well organised and clearly well prepared.
Facilities were good and despite horrendous weather the night before had no affect on our visit.
Well worth a visit.

A most informative and enjoyable time learning about local history with Brett & the team, who are very knowledgeable not just about the hut but the wider area. Who knew Bridgend played a key role during WW2 regarding munitions! I'm not going to spill all the details, instead book yourself onto a tour.

Incredible forgotten history of the area where 2000 German prisons of war were held in Bridgend, and in a Welsh Great S escape 70 pows escaped after tunneling out of the camp. Most of the camp is now demolished but one part of the camp and the tunnel is still there. A fascinating tour

Went Island farm yesterday 5/4/25.
WOW what a wonderful time we had.
Our 11year old grandson came with us and was enthralled with it all from the talk to the exhibitions. We cannot wait to go again. Well done to the organisers .

Hut 9 is the last remaining building that housed German Prisoners of World War 2.
It is the hut where 70 POW'S escaped from in 1945. The history of this event is fantastic and well worth a visit.
