Clean sand and good quality water. Only thing lacking is good public toilets. Ones which are there close around 4 pm which is not good at all...they are building a new kids play area with new swings and rides which will make it more busier...

Great for dog walks. Went early and plenty of space to roam.

You have the beach area and also a, grassy area towards the car park.

Water is a bit shallow which was the only downside as I like to throw the ball in for dog to go and swim. Might change on other days though.

Plenty of parking too. Recommended.

Lovely beach. Good views. Very dog friendly. Can get busy when very sunny but I've never had trouble with it being too busy. My kids love playing in the water here.

Stunning beach with beautiful views of arran. Had a blast with my dog visiting the beach and there’s also a dragon at the top of the dunes. Just had to be careful of the many jellyfish we seen on the beach.

Lovely beach unfortunately a few negative comments. Lots of underage kids drinking.. we seen 3 fights and 1 child was stabbed and later died the same weekend we were there. No Bathroom facilities. No police presence. When aprox 200 drunken kids I mean kids 14-16

Beautiful and peaceful beach, especially in the evening. Perfect spot for a walk, relaxing by the sea, or watching the sunset. Clean, quiet, and great views — highly recommend!

A wonderful place to go regardless of the weather. Certainly a gem of the west coast. In the summer it feels like you’re on holiday and there’s a lot of people coming from different places of Ayrshire and Glasgow to enjoy this beach, however the beach is big enough not to feel that it’s crammed. Great place to go for a walk even with your dog- plenty of people bring their dogs on walks here and sometimes you might even see a horse! Usually if the weather is good there’s an ice cream van at the car park before you enter the beach. There’s a few different car parks at different lengths of the beach. I suggest also checking the tide times before you visit just so you know how much width of beach you’re going to get. 🙂

I just imagine how peaceful this place while it's not a sunny summer day.. (the view reminds me of Lombok island view from Gili islands which is on Bali)

But, when it's so - there is no any chance to enjoy it due to the number of people, overfilled trash buckets and so on..
