When I bought Roo he was a working gundog. I wanted to work with a trainer to understand the basics and to ensure Roo understood what I was asking of him as well as me giving the right commands.

Ingrid was brilliant at explaining the training and her methods used, and was helpful adapting training when Roo displayed different behaviours. The sheep training was invaluable given we spend so much time running and walking in the countryside! I knew Roo was good with livestock and horses but it was fantastic to be able to see how he responded to sheep in a controlled environment.

I'd highly reccomend Ingrid and we use the skills Ingrid has taught us daily- some which I hadn't even realised would be as useful as they are and have even transferred across into our Canicross training.

We have two young Jack Russell puppies who have run us ragged since we got them at 12 weeks. They are now 11 months old and a couple of months ago we realised we needed some proper professional dog training to ensure they became good citizens as they were starting to chase and bring down deer and sheep. We are so lucky to have found Ingrid; she is an empathetic, clear, fun trainer who has enabled us to get our lives back and our puppies are now able to have daily walks, they no longer get run after livestock, they are responsive to us and the whistle, they have boundaries and seem all the happier for it. We can't thank Ingrid enough for giving us a plan of action and being at the end of the phone when we needed help. Thank you Ingrid!

Before we met Ingrid we had a 10 month rescue pointer cross beagle who had started to rule our lives. Despite other trainers and efforts all recall training had failed and she could not be trusted to be let off as she would bolt/chase if given the chance. She was also willful at home and always charged with energy which made her a handful.

I found Ingrid through the reviews and from our first conversation I knew she was going to be the right help for us! Confident in her methods and very straight talking when it came to what was needed. We started the 5 week course which is very intensive and you do have to put your life on hold. With this and the anti livestock training we now have a different dog who is calm and controlled and all the hard work is paying off and our dog is a joy to be around and walk.

2 months later we are still keeping on top of the training as it is key to keep these things going but Ingrid has given us all the tools to do this. And when Una did do something she wasn't supposed to, Ingrid was there to help and replied quickly to give us advice.

After our small whippet took great joy in running off across two fields to chase a local flock of sheep, and would pull on the lead in excitement when encountering sheep anywhere on a walk, we contacted Ingrid and booked some training with her. We enjoyed our time with Ingrid and found her advice and training invaluable. Our whippet will now walk calmly and with complete disinterest through a field containing sheep meaning I can still walk in my lovely local fields with a well behaved and under control dog. Thank you Ingrid.

We contacted Ingrid for help with our 14month old Labrador ‘Henry’
I was finding walking him on the lead had become stressful, lots of pulling and lurching forward to try and greet other dogs and humans.
Recall was in Henry’s ‘own time’.
You have to commit the time and effort to achieve the results you seek and with Ingrid’s training programme Henry is now walking to heel on & off the lead.
His recall has improved but I will be returning to Ingrid for further training.
I would highly recommend Ingrid if you need training for your beloved four legged friend.

We trained Connie ( now 18 months) with Ingrid last year, we contacted her again for advice and guidance with Katy, our 4 year old Labrador. We needed help with her recall and tendency to charge off at speed when she saw something of interest e.g fellow dog walkers, dogs, pheasants and rabbits!
Ingrid’s training technique is so successful. Within a week, Katy’s behaviour on walks has completely changed! She now responds to our commands, walking with us and not running off to greet anyone or animals we meet! You do need to commit to the training programme which involved several training sessions a day, but it is definitely worth it
I highly recommend Ingrid - she is a very experienced and knowledgable trainer and very approachable. Thank you, Ingrid !

We have a lively 2 year old vizsla who loves to chase wild animals. She never catches them but we wanted to have more control and to know Luna would be safe as well as the wildlife.
Ingrid’s training was superb. We are amazed by the difference in Luna. She now walks beautifully on the lead so no more pulling - and we are getting there with walking to heel off the lead. Our control of Luna is really good as well. We will keep up the good work. It is true a dog’s behaviour is about the owner’s willingness to do the work.
Ingrid is a delight to work with. She has no nonsense and is a lot of fun. A beautiful lady inside and out. Thank you Ingrid. ♥️

Ingrid is an exceptional trainer. She has helped us enormously with our working labrador, Dougie. The improvement to his recall and heel work has been tremendous, and we are much more confident letting him off the lead on walks, with the confidence that he will return to us on comand.
Probably the biggest benefit for us and for Dougie is his behaviour around livestock. We can now walk past sheep and cattle with Dougie off the lead, in absolute certainty that he will not chase them.
I would say though, that it's not enough just to take your dog along to Ingrid's training sessions. It does require a significant commitment from you. We were training with Dougie three or four times a day for 20-30 minutes each session, over five weeks. Yes, it does take a lot of time, but Ingrid is clear about what you should be doing, and this gives you the confidence and knowledge you need to train your dog to a high level.
