Don't miss this, fantastic walking tour which brings the history of Belfast to life. Barney is natural storyteller and his tales and antidotes about Belfast and its people is highly entertaining. This is not a boring history tour with facts and dates but a quirky and personal tour of some of the key places and stories of the people of Belfast over the last few hundred years. Its not all about the troubles as you will discover on this brilliant tour. Great value too. Highly recommended.

I didn’t know what I was doing today in Belfast so I walked into the Belfast Welcome Centre and asked for a good all around tour. The man at the desk called Barney, and even though Barney was headed home since he didn’t have any scheduled hours left, he came back just to show me around! His kindness for doing that and thoughtful research into the buildings, along with a great knowledge of Belfast and a fanatic sense of humor, made this a can’t miss tour! I really appreciated the effort Barney put into making his own custom tour and the way he passionately talks about each site. 100% recommend Barney and his tour. If I took anything away it’s that I was a lucky duck today! (take the tour to find out how that phrase plays into Belfast’s history!)

The BEST walking tour in Belfast! Barney is such a genuine, lovely person. He made it personal and fun, answering any questions we had with his obvious extensive knowledge of the city and history. I was only in town for the weekend and did a few tours, other walking tours as well, but this made the trip for me!

Easily the best value for money walking tour available in Belfast. Barney is a fantastic and very knowledgeable guide and has curated a brilliant array of fascinating information about the city. He really adds a personal touch to the whole experience and is a complete gentleman. A must do for any tourist in Belfast, or resident like myself for that matter.

Barney’s tour was fantastic. I have done many walking tours around the world and really enjoyed how Barney’s one was filled with fun facts and interesting stories form different epochs in Belfast’s history. The tour includes, but is not exclusively focused on, stories of the Troubles. I found the balance really enjoyable! Barney himself is great fun and really passionate about his job, which you can realize seeing how well prepared and how much work he puts into it! Cannot recommend more, you will have a great time! Thank you!

What a great tour! I have lived 10 miles outside Belfast for over 40 years and have never been down some of these streets! Barney was a wonderful tour guide who knew his stuff and was a great storyteller. Amazing stories about some buildings that I’ve walked by many times and some a little more off the beaten track. Whether you are a tourist if a local, this is 2 hours well spent!

A really entertaining and well-researched tour. The walk was the first thing we did on arriving in Belfast and we revisited so many places Barney introduced us to.
