Rooms are like match boxes. The washrooms are extremely small and inconvenient. Flush was not working in 2 of the rooms and even after complaining they could not fix it saying that the pipelines were old. We stayed for 5 days and for 3 days during breakfast they would say that the eggs were over and they did not have stock. Limited options to eat. You can look for better options around.

The hotel is in front of bus & tram stops so great for those needing public transport. The room is clean with a shower & toilet. Staff are a young team, very cheerful and helpful. Car parking is available for a price. Nice scenic spot in front of Quay. Bedding clean but not the most comfortable. No kettles or extras in the room. AC doesn't work so can be unpleasant in heatwave. Nice powerful shower. Good value for money.

The rooms are extremely small. The toilet is in a closet-sized room and the door has no catch. Sitting on the toilet, your knees touch the door, pushing it ajar. Amoras travel.
The sink and enclosed shower form part of the bedroom. The room and it's facilities are clean and serviceable, however the smell of damp and drains pervades the room via the shower.
The twin beds are very narrow. With your arms at your sides, your elbows touch the edge.
The hallways are filthy. Dirt literally cakes the carpet along the skirting boards.
The staff were very friendly however.
Fine if you're going to the nearby stadium, and plan to drink through the obvious discomfort - but not suitable for work or for stays of more than a night.

Great location for access to the city centre via tram, to Wythenshaw Park for the concerts we were attending, for the Lowry, for a pleasant walk around the quays and for visiting the Trafford Centre the following day. It was amazing value, far exceeded my expectations for the price I’d paid. Clean, lovely staff, comfortable room. We’ll definitely stay again.

Easy check in right next to the tram stop, and right next to somewhere to get food. Staff were polite and helpful.
The room was basic but had all the things we needed for our short stay.
Bed was comfy and the pillows were super soft and perfect for a good night sleep

Let’s be honest, Ibis is a budget brand. So when they call themselves Ibis Budget you know it’s going to be no-frills minus. That’s no excuse for what we experienced in Salford. The room is very small. Fair enough. The shower a plastic box in the corner. Again so far so budget+. It would be nice if you could use the loo without bumping your knees in the door and having paper so cheap it’s only one step up from that scratchy - non absorbent stuff you found in school toilets when I was a kid.|Another way they save money is by not having a kettle or similar in the room - they can be hired for £4. Now for visitors from further afield, the lack of tea and coffee making might be standard. But don’t expect coffee on the go in reception. There is a machine but that’s chargeable.|Perhaps the only thing that is free are the earplugs from the dispenser near the lifts. I’m not sure thinking you might require earplugs for a proper night’s sleep is a selling point though.|I can’t vouch fur value for money as our stay coincided with Oasis playing Heaton Park, so hotels across the region were fleecing visitors in a way that would make a sheep farmer proud.|Our stay also coincided with record temperatures in the UK. Net w a sign in the room made plain the unit above the door was “not air conditioning.” It did however promise it would cool|The room when temperatures went above 22 or 22 degrees. All the time we were there, they never fell below 25.5C|Opening the window by a couple of inches - there was the typical safety restriction device - exposed you to the noise from the busy dial carriageway outside the front of the hotel and in our case, other guests chatting and smoking outside the front door into the early hours.|Staff were pleasant enough to- especially housekeeping, but that doesn’t detract from the fact that this is a business model that appears to have confused cheap with nasty.

Good location, although a bit tricky to find the entrance (it's around the back of the building).

Free cold drink on arrival, which was nice. Parking was £15 though and rooms were very basic (that's the idea I guess) so don't expect too much.

Laundry truck rocked up at 5am which was annoying if your facing the back. And toilets are tiny so you'll be headbutting the door sitting down and getting up!

Not a good experience. The rooms are compact, especially the baths are extremely tiny. Breakfast was also unsatisfactory, basic things like milk and eggs were also not there. When asked, we were curtly told that they are out of stock and if you have any complaints, contact reception who were also not helpful.
Rooms air-conditioners were not working and on repeated complaints, an engineer came, had a look and never came back to repair it in our 3 day stay there
The flush was also not working.
We were a big group who had visited Manchester for a wedding
There were senior citizens too. Their bathrooms shower in room 214 had such tremendous pressure that it was difficult to have a bath there and the room would be flooded with water from the bathroom. Seriously how are senior citizens supposed to live there.
Worse, in the common wash room in the restaurant too, the flush was not functioning and it was filthy.
In short, I would NEVER recommend this hotel to anyone. BAD EXPERIENCE
