Used Ian's Taxis on Saturday morning to go from our B & B near Hope Park to Burns Farm at St John's in the Vale. Driver turned up just before expected time, was chatty and very pleasant, and fare was very reasonable. Will use this firm again if I need a taxi next time I'm in Keswick.

We contacted Iain prior to our walking holiday in Cumbria from the US. We needed a luggage transfer service, but couldn't find anyone who'd transfer our bags going the Cumbria Way north in Ulverston stitched together with the Coast to Coast westbound in Grasmere. Iain quoted us a reasonable price and we booked with him ahead of our trip. Iain communicated with us via email often, and retrieved our bags every morning from our overnight hosts and conveyed them to our next overnight stop before noon. We never had to worry about timing or delivery. Payment was also a breeze--Iain sent us his bank transfer information and we sent the payment directly to his account. We even met him face to face one morning along our walking route, and he stopped to chat with us. He was very friendly and sweet to us and our children. I highly recommend Iain for this type of service!

Iain's Taxi Service is just the best! I recently visited Keswick in the U.K. Lake District. Before I left the U.S. I contacted Iain through TripAdvisor. I asked him if he could pick me up at the Penrith Station when I arrived and drive me to my hotel in Keswick and if he would be able to do the same for me when I was to leave Keswick. There is no train from Penrith to Keswick only a bus, but I didn't want to take the bus. He got back to me within the hour. He quoted me a reasonable price, so I agreed. In Keswick I wanted to visit Castlerigg Stone Circle while there. He drove me to the Stone Circle and didn't charge me for the wait while I viewed the circle and took photos. I also wanted to visit the village of Grasmere which was about 20 minutes away from Keswick. He drove me there and let me out while he parked and didn't charge me for the wait time in Grasmere either. All along our journeys he was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the places we traveled to. He insisted on carrying my heaviest bag up the steps to my hotel and back down again when I was leaving. I previously priced tours of the area with Viator and found them to be very expensive and they wouldn't commit until their required number of people booked the tour. Contacting Iain was a much better deal. Communication with Iain before I left the U.S. was great. He answered whatever questions I had within an hour whenever I contacted him. I highly recommend him if you are visiting the Lake Country. He's really the best!

Iain picked us up in Penrith and helped us move around the Lake District on our waking tour over about a week. Moved our bags and was very punctual and accommodating for any changes. Also very good at communicating. He made everything very easy and smooth, and also very reasonable price. Highly recommended!
