We have been on Hutleys caravan park for 10 years now and we as a family love it here. It's our 'Happy Place'. We especially like 'Central' with the lovely big green playing field in the middle for the children to play on. As well as 2 big allocated dog walking fields located to the back and side of the Central park.
The site is family owned and are lovely people. The staff are always on hand and are really helpful. Site is kept lovely and clean. We are also lucky to have the beach within walking distance to us.

A good place for a family holiday. Shame, however, that the beach does not belong to the very neat - during a week's stay, twice after arriving on the beach we found a lot of bottles, cans and leftovers after grilling - but it rather shows us - tourists who do not care about the environment. Another minus that during the day a powerful tractor drives around the beach and helps motorboats to drain their equipment into the water. Prices in nearby stores or restaurants are not reaching the sky - a big plus - thank you.

The site has its Pros and cons. It’s nice being able to just park the car up
And not have to venture out as beach and shops are all walking distance on the site which is great. Some parts of the site are very dated and isn’t the most flattering to look at but after all it is clacton. The row of shops, local pub and amusements on site is a bonus!

Nice to have everything on your doorstep! If you don't mind cars racing and Revving engines booming music at 1am, oh and the smell of drugs everywhere you visit. Couldn't even enjoy sitting and eating fish and chips without there being someone or people smoking drugs right in front of children. Beach was dirty and not really safe for dogs due to broken glass and rubbish, dog poo scattered in places. Receptionist wasn't very helpful when we reported the noise and drugs! We was told to deal with it ourselves, in calling police.
The score of 2 was basically for the amenities which was convenient but in need of updating.
Also beware of parking by caravan!!! We were told that despite no information about not parking there you have your car clamped!

We only visited the site so can't comment on any else, apart from the bread pudding from the shop/ bakery that is worth stopping for if you like bread pudding
