We stayed here last July and just realised we didn’t leave a review! Cant give any less than five stars. The place is magic. We had our two little girls with us who played with the owners granddaughters in the beautiful gardens. We stayed in the mill which was brilliant clean and spacious with a great kitchen. We visited Selsey which has a great fair and beach and also Chichester town and west wittering beach. I also found a local farm (berries on tap) who sell fruit and local produce from a large vending/fridge….the best strawberries and ice cream/sorbet I have ever had in my life. I think we went back three times! The Runcton farm shop and cafe was also exceptional and we were sad not to have stayed longer to buy more produce (their truffle brie is to die for). We also went to the Crown & Anchor in Chichester harbour which has lovely food and great views. We usually don’t visit places twice but we will certainly be back to stay ❤️ We had the perfect weekend

Well, the flat we stayed in was lovely, sadly I can't say the same for the cleanliness!! It was VERY dusty in all areas, except the bathroom!
We asked the owner to have a look and she agreed. We were on the way out to shop and the owner said she would have to speak to the cleaners, and would get get a duster.
When we returned, she had polished, but only the sitting room..
Lovely little place, sadly let down by the lazy domestic staff who are paid for not doing a decent job.

We had a one night stay for our family that was cancelled 1 hour before we were due to arrive. Owner says it was Booking.com's fault, but either way we were left hunting for alternative accommodation on a bank holiday weekend. Ruined our weekend to be honest...

If you are looking for dog friendly accommodation in the Chichester area, it doesn't get any better than Hunston Mill! There's a whole garden dedicated to dogs where they can run off the leash, and some accommodation options come with their own private gardens. And they don't even charge an extra pet fee like most dog friendly hotels do! It is only a 10-minute drive away from the spectacular West Wittering Beach. We were very happy during our stay. Everything was spotlessly clean and they thought of every detail. The kitchen is fully equipped if you want to cook your own meals. There were even several different sizes of dog bowls in our kitchen cupboards in addition to everything we would need to cook our own meals and more. The owner Thelma was incredibly attentive and friendly. She kindly let us change our dates when my dad had to get emergency surgery around the time of our planned holiday. And when we did show up after a long while, she was so kind to remember and ask how my dad was doing. Thank you for your kindness, Thelma. We loved our stay and we will surely return. We recommend this lovely place to everyone.

Fantastic Stay . We were made to feel very Welcome by Thelma and Mike . Mill cottage was gorgeous with a beautiful Garden for our 2 dogs . Thelma was so nice as nobody was staying that night next door she said the dogs could also have the luxury of using the beautiful garden next door also . The gardens were fully enclosed in for the dogs . Bed was very comfy . Lovely seating outside . Little lovely extras left for us on arrival , Biscuits , milk , tea , coffee , shampoo, etc . We felt very well looked after and cannot wait to return for a longer visit . Initially we had booked somewhere else and was very let down on arrival…….so came here to Hunston . This little cottage put a smile on our face and Thankyou for a lovely Stay . Very much appreciated Mary and Kevin ( Barney and Loki ) 🐶

Very dog friendly and friendly, helpful owner/staff.|However not everything was good.|The property is very tired and needs updating. The kitchen is lacking in utensils, cooking pots and mugs. The living area is dark, dirty carpet and sofa. The bedrooms are small and owing to the very sloping ceilings very uncomfortable. It is impossible to sit up in bed to read or have a drink because of the low ceiling. |Although advertised as dog friendly it is impossible to walk from the site as it is on a very busy road that has no pavement or lighting. Therefore it is necessary make a car journey for every outing.

We booked this place for four nights as it wasn’t too far from Goodwood where we were visiting the Festival of Speed. It was brilliant for what we wanted, clean and comfortable with everything we needed. It’s kind of old fashioned and quirky but we loved it. Plus it comes with an entire garden for each cottage and if you have kids there’s a safe play area. And not only that it’s dog friendly so you can bring your furry friends along too. The bathroom probably needs a bit of attention and perhaps remodelling as it’s a bit snug the way it is. But honestly we really loved it.

Honestly, this place is wonderful! Quiet, peaceful, tidy and SO dog friendly!|I loved the quaintness and quirkiness of it, reminded me a bit of my grannys house (in a good way). The bed was the movst comfortable I have ever slept in. Orange juice and milk in the fridge was a lovely touch. Internet was a bit patchy but we didn't come here to work!|Will 100% be back!
