Had a great morning here. We took our two granddaughters whom we had got vouchers for at Christmas. Such a idyllic setting. The granddaughters had a great time grooming the ponies before being saddled up for the ride. The ride itself was great. All taken at a leisurely pace while the parents lead the ponies. I can't thank the owner and his young assistant enough for a great morning. Highly recommend this place and we can't wait yo bring them again.

We visited for the first time yesterday and had the loveliest time. I can see why it is already super popular. Hugh was so warm and welcoming and patient with my daughter who had never ridden before. She was slightly nervous at first but by the end was already asking to come back again. My son was also able to lead the pony so enjoyed it too! A fabulous little business that deserves huge success! We will definitely be visiting again and cannot wait for our youngest to be old enough to have a go too!

This was such an amazing experience for my daughter's first ride and was arranged as a suprise whilst we were away on holiday . So easy to arrange and both Hugh and Marilyn were welcoming and lovely. The introduction to the horses, picking out the right saddle, explanation of the brushes and how to groom the pony properly was all perfectly pitched to my 4 year old. During the ride itself Hugh was fantastic with my daughter, chatting away to her (or trying as she had gone quiet and shy!) and putting her completely at ease. If we were local I would be recommending to all my friends and will certainly be back should we visit the area again.

We took our grandchildren for an hour to groom and ride Shetland ponies; what good fortune to choose the Humaryn stable, it was wonderful! The ponies were perfect for very young children; gentle and well behaved. Our grandchildren spent 15 minutes grooming and then they rode along quiet country lanes, each pony on a leading reign.
The staff were really good with children.

Absolutely fantastic pony experience! Highly recommended. Our daughter got the change to not only have a pony ride around the lanes but also groomed the pony before hand and learnt all about the tack and the pony's behaviour. The owner was so lovely and welcoming too. We have come away with one VERY happy little girl!!!

We had a wonderful time at the Humaryn Shetland Pony Rides. My 3yr old enjoyed every second. The horses are very well behaved and there's lots of time getting to know them (grooming, feeding, etc.). Hugh was great with the kids and ensured that everyone had an amazing experience. We'll definitely come back if we're going to Dartmoor again.

We took our daughter for this experience yesterday afternoon and were so fortunate to be the only ones booked in for this time. We had buttercup to groom, tack up and ride and she was so good and perfect for little ones to get great hands on experience. You couldn’t ask for a better experience with plenty of time given for all aspects. All the staff were great but Hugh was absolutely fantastic so great with our daughter and a natural with the ponies. We will definitely be back.
