I've just stayed as part of a large group at Howgills House. The house was spacious and clean, with plenty of seating. Rooms were all en-suite and nicely decorated, with a small amount of hanging space. The outside space was lovely with 2 large undercover hot tubs and towels provided. We used a recommended caterer one night who used the outside games area for making pizzas in a pizza oven, and another caterer made use of the well equipped kitchen. There was ample parking on the driveway, and it was only a short drive into Sedbergh. A fantastic weekend and would definitely recommend this for a large group holiday!

We had an incredible stay at Howgills House for a work trip. The service, setting and facilities were exceptional. We self-catered and found the kitchen to be perfect for such a big group. The communal spaces are cosy and comfortable, all bedrooms are en suite, and there was gas supplied with the BBQ. So many little touches that contributed to an excellent stay and a lovely welcome from the owners... all topped off by the stunning views!

Fantastic place to stay for the larger group..has everything you need from large open sitting area.....Great kitchen and dining area they thought of all the needs and supply plenty of everything when catering for the larger party....
All the bedrooms having ensuite is a real bonus
Never had to leave the house ....but some lovely walks nearby would definitely return...you would find it very difficult to fault this lovely house 🏠.
My contact with Howgills from Booking..payment...or any questions we had regarding staying was second to none ...very pleasant and efficient when I phoned with the odd query thankyou Amy makes such a difference

Howgills house was amazing for my family party Christmas reunion of 20 including 3 kids under 6. It was spacious , clean , excellent heating ,toilets easily accessible, enough fridge and freezer space ..
Hot tubs and pool table hit were a huge hit as well …
Just perfect , quiet for walks and beautiful landscape .

If you’re looking for a beautiful, spacious venue for a group getaway, I highly recommend booking in at Howgills House. The house is just gorgeous, so many beautiful bedrooms all with en-suite bathrooms and the hot tubs / outside areas are incredible. We had the best girls weekend away and as well as spending many hours in the hot tubs (which face out onto the most stunning views) we hired in catering (lakes catering company) for one night which was fantastic and so reasonable. Everything has been so well thought out at this accommodation and we’ll absolutely be going back. Thank you Nigel and the team! 🙂
