It was my first time riding the hovercraft, which has been a childhood dream of mine. We arrived early, and the hovercraft arrived a few minutes late, but it was a little stormy. I was afraid it would be cancelled, but it all worked out really well!

We got on, sat by the windows, and sadly couldn't see anything because of the rain. However, it was still quite an experience. It was a comfortable ride, and I would go on it again!

What a wonderful experience just travelling in a Hovercraft. Max speed reached 70km/hr. Arrived on IoW early in the morning, cycled around the island and then back to the mainland in time for tea. Superb service, every 30mins. Very polite and professional staff and what a beautiful island.

Great trip from Southend to Ryde I.O.W.
Very friendly helpful staff at both Hoverports and on the Hovercraft.
We returned in the dark so we could see the lights around as we crossed.

Our first trip by hovercraft and it was great. We booked our tickets online and selected to include unlimited bus travel on the Isle of Wight too. We arrived early but were allowed to board an earlier flight as there was room so we didn't have to wait. We spent a lovely stress free day hopping on and off buses (which ran on time) without having to Scrabble for change or worry about costs. Our trip back was just as easy, comfortable and quick. All in all the best way to travel to the Isle of Wight!
