Had a really great stay. Lovely room, comfy bed, great shower and wonderful staff. Particular mention goes to Morgan, fantastic waiter who couldn’t do enough for you and Lily with the most beautiful smile. Tom the owner was there every day and very receptive to a couple of,e of small suggestions we made. |Breakfast was on another scale, praise to the chef who we never saw, great choice and again perfect service. Had a couple of meals I. The evening and again couldn’t be faulted. |To my mind Great Yarmouth was not as ‘Great’ as it used to be but we still had a lovely week and found lots to do. Friendly people and helpful too.|I would highly recommend booking here as reasonable prices but superb experience. Would not hesitate to book again if we were going this way.|Well done all at Hotel Ocean

Excellent hotel in a convenient location with ample street parking. Hotel is small with an excellent restaurant serving first class breakfast. Clean and comfortable rooms. Excellent staff in the restaurant and notably housekeeping who was friendly and extremely conscientious. A real asset in my opinion. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again

We only ate, I could not find anywhere to leave a review for the restaurant. The food was amazing. The chef went above and beyond to help me with food choices as my baby and I are dairy free. We had the vegan gnocchi and added chicken. It was the best gnocchi/best dairy free meal i have ever eaten. My baby also enjoyed it. My other child, a picky eater enjoyed his tomato pasta, garlic bread and pancake desert. My partner had the lasagne and said it was delicious (waitress recommended this) we only had one problem, the waitress was so placid and appeared scared to ask another customer if they would mind moving for a minute for her to grab a high chair (the high chairs are stored next to one of the tables) she delivered our food and asked if we needed anything else, we said just the high chair so my baby can eat too please and she looked mortified. If she had of told me where they were I would have happily asked. The lady moved when she asked and was very pleasant so hopefully the waitress gained confidence with that. The waitress was very attentive and pleasant just maybe inexperienced, maybe first day or just super shy. The food was by far the best we have had as a family ever. Reasonably priced and the gnocchi was a large portion. 100 percent recommend and 100 percent will be going back when we return in November.

Paid £237 for 2 nights in a deluxe double room and was quite disappointed. The room was small and lacked a window view which we didnt mind too much, however there was cracked tiles on the bathroom floor that could be moved, cracks in the wall and tears in the wallpaper, the floor was creaky. Also outside the room on the steps leading to the main stairs the carpet was loose and coming off I nearly slipped. There were some positives, the room was quiet, bed was comfy and the girl who served us in the restaurant was lovely.

We had an enjoyable one night's stay here. The room wasn't huge but it was clean and had the required amenities. The breakfast was good and the staff were friendly and helpful.

The free parking was a bit confusing as it was in a resident's zone, which we didn't realize, so we wasted a bit of time driving around trying to find a non-existent car park at the back.

All in all, Recommended.

Wow what a wonderful, friendly and incredibly helpful welcome we received. The owner and all his staff were superb||Had requested a lower floor room which we got with fantastic views out to sea. Room was very clean and spacious. Had everything we needed and a very comfortable bed. ||Enjoyed a very tasty lunch on the terrace in the sun. Again excellent service. Breakfast was a great choice and enjoyed it all. Nothing too much trouble.||This delightful hotel is a must for staying in Great Yarmouth and we would definitely stay again!

Lovely boutique place on the seafront. Stayed for work but great for couples. Nice clean and modern rooms, good breakfast and a decent bar selection. Right on seafront and a very short distance from the main town

What a great welcome when we arrived by the friendly staff. They even offered a free drink when told we were there for hubbies birthday.||The hotel position is on the sea front with fantastic views and central to everything. Couldn't fault this at all. |First impressions,what a lovely clean hotel, nice resident lounge, small bar and an attached restaurant. We were on the top floor, in the large superior room. Big bed, seating area and even a fridge. Tea and coffee facilities and even bottled water in the fridge. Plus was the hairdryer, proper full size and not the usual small ones and the toiletries in the bath room. As a small hotel, no lift so the stairs to the room certainly got the cardio in😅. The only reason I haven't given 5 stars, couple small things, electric shower that was Russian roulette to get a steady water temp without freezing or scalding. Couple loose plug sockets, 1 that didn't work at all and some large stains on the carpet. Overall we would recommend you staying here, we would come again, but not the top floor! My knees are too old for that 🤣||
