We have had an exceptional service from Home Instead Peterborough , Oundle and the Deepings. My father had been extremely reluctant to accept care but from meeting Amy (Care Manager ) for the first time and onwards , he ( and the whole family ) have been so impressed by the kindness , professionalism and quality of the care that he has received . There has been great effort taken to match the needs of my father to his care professionals. My father has enjoyed getting to know his care professionals and they have taken the time to get to know his needs and interests. I would say that they have gone the extra mile with him - not only doing the care tasks to a very high standard but also by being prepared to sit with him , engaging him in conversation that he finds interesting and stimulating. This has undoubtedly helped by father’s wellbeing and ability to stay independent in his own home. Many thanks to Amy and all her team!

We have benefitted from the home care service delivered by Home Instead over the last 7 years. The staff have been outstanding. Well-matched, punctual, consistent, efficient and encouraging. The tasks are all specific to the persons needs and it was easy to have the tasks changed over time, as needs changed. Their advice was always professional and the carers went above and beyond and became like family as they knew mum and dad, and the house, so well. Indeed, some of the carers were with us throughout the full 7 years.
The office staff were accessible and sensitively handled any incoming info about mum and dads needs, be it responding to outcomes from clinic visits, changes in meds or responding to emergency situations.
When management needed to be consulted they were responsive and knowledgeable.
I really dont know how we’d have kept mum and dad at home for so long without them.

I was very pleased with the service they offered for my Wife who had dementia. Two ladies who both lived locally were booked at times to suit us to visit for a two hour period. The longer times meant that everything was calm and well ordered with no rushing off to get to the next client. The ladies supplied security and companionship to my wife and could also help with other activities if requested. One of them enjoyed gardening which was a topic close to my wife’s heart.
Their visits allowed me to take some respite time in the knowledge that my wife was being well looked after. I was impressed with HomeInstead’s attention to detail. We both had a face to face interview (in our home) before hand when we could ask questions and have what was on offer clearly explained to us. The firm was flexible and there were options to change appointments if necessary. I would have no hesitation in recommending their service, and indeed one or two friends have subsequently also used the firm and have also been very satisfied.

Home Instead showed endless patience with my lovely late Dad as he struggled to make sense of his few remaining memories. Tim always managed to look interested and enthralled as Dad told him the same old story again.
The care Dad received enabled him to keep his dignity and his sense of self. Even more importantly it gave Mum a few precious hours when she didn't have to worry about my Dad, and she could properly relax and recharge her batteries. It was invaluable for them both.
Sadly Dad died only a few months after we began working with Home Instead. I wish we had had longer to develop the genuine friendship that, despite his dementia, Dad was able to build with his carers. They walked, talked, went out for hot chocolate..... nothing very dramatic, but it made such a difference. Mum could be herself for a while, and Dad felt he was not so reliant on her.
I would highly recommend Home Instead to anyone struggling with 24 hour care - they are endlessly patient, extremely reliable, and by offering just a few hours of company for Dad they provided respite, care and empathy to the whole family. Don't hesitate to contact them to discuss your family's needs. They don't pressure you into using their services, but are happy to talk, offer advice and help you if you decide it is the right solution for your loved one.

Home Instead provided exceptional care to my mum for seven years. They absolutely matched the right primary carers to mum's interests, personality, situation and needs, and the same carers were with her throughout these years, ensuring continuity, comfort and trust. As an only daughter living abroad, Home Instead always kept me informed of mum's situation and needs, sorting problems as they arose and bringing me in when needed. Mum adored her carers and all the Home Instead staff. Both she and I had complete confidence and peace of mind knowing that she was being well looked after. An outstanding company, most highly recommended.

I have been working with Home Instead for almost two years now, and I love it!
From the moment of my first call to enquire about a job vacancy, to beginning my training, right up until now, I have been fully supported by the office staff and by my colleagues.
I love to support and care for others, so this job gives me so much satisfaction, and I feel that I get so much out of my visits with our clients, and hopefully they do too!
I would definitely recommend Home Instead as a company to work for. Infact one of my friends has also joined the team now and she loves it too!

Setting up care for a loved one is not something anyone tells you about. I have to say the service I received for the care of my grandfather was tailored to meet his and my needs. The empathy in difficult times, the flexibility when tweeks are needed, nothing was too much trouble. I would highly recommend this service as all round top class professionals that run the business on care...not the clock. Well done and thank you to everyone...the quality of life you bought my grandad in his twilight years was remarkable...thank you

I've been working for Home Instead after caring for my mum who had Dementia, the difference it made to my family and to take pressure off my dad. After my mum died I wasn't sure what I wanted to do , I saw Home Instead recruiting but wasn't sure I could be a Carer, I applied did the training got offered a job and I've not looked back since I can honestly say this is the best job I've ever had and I've had a few. The difference I make to my Clients and their families make it so enjoyable , you make lovely relationships with your clients and their families, and enjoy taking clients out for a cup of tea and to go out to different places and to see there enjoyment in getting out. I honestly can say I can't see myself doing anything else best decision I've ever made. Home Instead are a great company to work for all the staff are with you every step of the way through training and while at work They give you so much support each and everyone couldn't ask for a better company to work for !
