Stayed here as part of a Caledonian Mystery Weekend. Cannot fault the hotel or the rooms, all very clean, comfortable and facilities were lovely. For the evening meal, the coach group were relegated to a meeting/conference room for a hot buffet - we weren't able to sit in the actual restaurant/dining facilities - which was such an odd and awkward vibe. We were a floor up from the bar so people generally didn't go spend any money there and it felt like we weren't welcome with other guests. The buffet was late - despite being told we couldn't have an earlier sitting of 6.15 and that it had to be 7pm, they were still 15-20 mins late with it all and it was stuck out in a corridor. The options were POOR, especially for a 4 star hotel. Some potato soup, bean and chicken stew, large fish fingers, anemic boiled chicken legs, overcooked veg, mushy peas and chips. Beige, cheap and really unappetising. The fish fingers, chips and peas ran out before the last 10 people got food and when the driver asked the staff member if the chef was going to replenish it he basically said, "there's other food for you to eat," "the chef is on a break." He was asked to speak to the manager but apparantly there was no manager ("maybe" a duty manager on shift somewhere) - not helpful or reassuring. They eventually got more out but after another 20 min wait (at about 8.30pm) people were past it. Really disappointing. Cannot comment on the actual food from the restaurant but burgers were generally £18 as a price guide. |The only thing that just about redeemed the evening "meal" is that the breakfast buffet (in the restaurant with everyone else) was really good so I'd recommend that! |Cannot comment on distance from centre etc as we didn't go out in the evening. |Overall pleasant stay but glad we didn't pay the full price!!

Our recent stay at the Hilton Garden Inn in Stoke-on-Trent was absolutely fantastic! We were a group of three, and from the moment we stepped into our room, it truly felt like a piece of heaven.

The rooms were spotless, well-maintained, and cleaned daily, which really impressed us. Everything was neat, fresh, and organized — making it a very comfortable and welcoming environment. Sleeping on the bed felt incredibly relaxing, and it gave us one of the best night’s rest we’ve had during our travels.

We also enjoyed the swimming pool, which had a peaceful vibe and wasn’t crowded. The calm atmosphere made it a great place to unwind and enjoy some quiet time.

The hotel also offers great amenities like a room heater and a boiling room, which added to the comfort and convenience of our stay.

For dinner, we visited a nearby restaurant called Mirchi, which was just a short walk from the hotel and served delicious food — a perfect end to the evening.

At around £120–£130 per night, the stay was absolutely worth it for the comfort, cleanliness, and experience. I would highly recommend the Hilton Garden Inn to anyone visiting Stoke-on-Trent. Whether you're traveling solo, as a couple, or in a group, it offers everything you need for a peaceful and enjoyable stay.

This is a modern hotel with good sized rooms and a spacious bathroom with good quality toiletries. The bed was very comfortable and there were tea/coffee making facilities provided. The parking is across the way which can be a challenge if the weather is bad. The shower in the bathroom is not well designed as the water goes on the floor. Good place to stay for one night.

Nice newly finished, clean hotel. Handy location for potteries and Trentham Garden Estate ( which is lovely for shops, cafes and loads to do with smaller kids) . Handy parking - £9 a night. Dinner was ok, breakfast very good value. At times they seem a little short staffed, but all staff friendly and accommodating. All in all good value and would stay again if in the area.

Stayed at this hotel for two nights at the start of August for a trip to Alton towers. Generally a lovely hotel and clean. However what let it down was the very stained furniture in the rooms which put me off sitting anywhere other than the bed. We paid a lot for our stay so you would expect things to be in good order. Also seemed to be a little short staffed especially when it came to bar service. During breakfast the pastries had run out and took over 15 mins to be replenished. Friendly staff and I would stay again.

Lovely clean hotel, staff were welcoming and quick to accommodate extra bedding for our room when asked. Food was quick service and very tasty, although very high prices. Rooms were perfect size, very clean and the beds were very comfortable. Will stay here again.

Great hotel stay for a trip up for Alton Towers.
Room was very spacious and very comfortable.
Bar and restaurant was great, and breakfast was plentiful, even having dairy free options.

Car park was opposite the hotel and registration was required at check in as a hotel guest.
All in all a lovely stay, and a great weekend away. 😊

Convenient location to Alton Towers, but the attentiveness of staff, especially the bar and restaurant staff needs to be improved a lot. At the hotel bar, staff left customers waiting to be served and did not acknowledge the wait or apologise for the wait. There is a lack of customer service all round. The rooms are nice and clean.
