This was more than a tour of various sights. Our guide Lawrence, who owns this company with his brother Billy, wove all the stops and more together with a running tale like episodes on a TV series. UK history is deeper and longer than what we Americans have with the Scottish royalty, English Lords and the many clans. Lawrence was factual, informative and fun. He was a delightful raconteur and he created a perfect day for us.

My family and I just finished a 2 day private tour with Billy. Throughout the process, Billy was been extremely attentive, helping us to see so many things on our list, and many special places that we didn't know about before. Everything was so beautiful - the pictures feel like a collection of postcards. He was willing to do so many extra things to make our trip special - researching places that he knew would align with our interests (dinosaur museums with local experts, fairy glens, and ancient cairns) sharing places that he loved (Beauly, family stories with connections to history and locations) and so many other touches that made the trip so exceptional. He helped us create so many amazing memories as a family. We are on to the next part of our trip now, and miss his company!

We were in Scotland June 2025 and hired Highlander Private Tours to transport/tour us from Edinburgh to Inverness and another day from Inverness to Oban. Our drive/tour guide was Billy and he did a wonderful job. He was very knowledgeable about the history and stories of the country and was willing to go out of his way to share these with us. I would recommend this company and would definitely use them again if we travel to Scotland.

Book these guys direct on their website. Bill was the best guide. Witty, funny, and hyper knowledgeable. You could tell they were a small family business in a good way! Great mercedes van for the 6 of us on our private tour and very reasonable as well. You won't be disappointed.

We did a private tour with Lawrence when we came in for the day on a cruise. Lawrence provided a suggested itinerary, but was flexible with what we wanted to do. He was very nice, knowledgeable about history and pointing things out, an excellent host, great attention to detail with providing snacks, waters and napkins! Vehicle was clean. Highly recommend!

Our multi day tours were customized. We removed Loch Ness and went to a castle and some special places recommended along the way. This company is great for that reason. They aim to please, giving you the experience you want. We planned our bespoke trip in advance and these guys (Larry and Billy) were so helpful with dining and entertainment suggestions. They exceeded our expectations. We plan to go back to see other areas of Scotland and will have them assist us again with our sightseeing journey.
