3rd Skipton Scout group had an amazing start to 2025, with their first meeting climbing walls and shooting arrows! They were all very well looked after by the bunch of experienced staff on hand. The whole experience was made very easy for us from start to finish. Brilliant value for money, I highly recommend them. Thank you High Adventure! Until next time ⚜️💚

Great place for groups, good fun and rather than lying about in the sun (which is great as well!) It just gives a chance to do something different and we really enjoyed it. Thank you from all the family

I can't fault this place for kids. A week of challenging activities, similar age groups and all meals included. I was knackered by the end! The staff are great; very patient and encouraging Nathan, Dave, Scott, Connor, Dan. I've faced my fears a lot and sharing the experience with my son and other single parent families is one I'll never forget. Andy the cook went out of his way to cater for special dietary requirements and the food was enjoyable, and we could make a filling packed lunch each day. We sat with a different group at meal times so we never felt stuck with the same people and my son made lots of new friends, seeing him laughing and thriving with others has been the best. The only issue me and a lot of adults had was the bedrooms haha, awkward bunkbeds but it made for lots of funny conversations. The Goydon room is tiny, I didn't have a chair to sit on when I wanted to take 5 away from people and you can't just sit on a 3 bunk with ease! When we all compared rooms I had the smallest. Some people had a full dorm! We were only in it to shower and sleep. This is the only thing I would change. They provided all the waterproofs and wetsuits. You need toe covered shoes for the water sports day, that wasn't clear on the notice board and the village nearby is stunning, sadly we only had 15 minutes spare as we spent more time jumping in the reservoir, It would be worth a trip if you want to skip an activity or arrange to go by yourselves. We had 4 days of heavy rain but still enjoyed it. It's a beautiful place and they take you off site to explore local villages if you have enough time.
It was easy to find and they have plenty of parking. There is a bar on site and down the road. There's a petrol station and co op 7 min drive away. On the last day there is no rush to leave early, they take care of the kids after breakfast so you can pack up and go after lunch if you want to. We headed back the evening before and missed the traffic.
If you want to do something different with the kids to get them off screens and you want to challenge yourself as a single parent or family I highly recommend High Adventure. Book a few days off for yourself at the end because you'll need it!

Great place to bring your kids of all ages!

I'd highly recommend High Adventures to anyone looking for something to do with their kids this summer.

Huge amount of activities with experienced staff on hand at all times.

All the staff are friendly and happy to help out on requests.

Great value for money, it's a tiring but very worthwhile and enjoyable experience. Had great time with kids doing all kinds of things we don't normally get the chance to do (archery, high ropes, canoeing, paddle boards, low ropes, weaseling, caving etc!) We haven't laughed so much every day too!!

Home for a long rest and to look through some amazing photographs from a totally amazing week.

I booked the 6 day family holiday and we had the best time. I have never booked anything like this before so I wasn't sure what to expect. Each day started with a cooked breakfast, and then the organisers explained what was involved in the days activities. Favourite activities for our family was the caving (very wet so bring change of clothes), the climbing and the zip line. After dinner there was an evening activity with the other families, so there was a chance to socialize and find out what others had been doing.

We had a wonderful Archery and Axe Throwing session today with Hannah and Will. It was a birthday treat for my husband and the whole family really enjoyed it. Perfect amount of time on each activity with fun games as well. Hannah and Will were knowledgeable, friendly and patient. We would definitely come again if in the area. Thank you.
