I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Heights of Abraham, and I can confidently say it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I stepped onto the cable car, I was captivated by the breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding countryside.
The cable car ride itself was thrilling and offered a unique perspective of the Peak District. Once at the top, I was greeted by stunning scenery, well-maintained gardens, and fascinating historical exhibits. The caves were particularly impressive, with their intricate formations and informative displays.
The staff were friendly and helpful, making my visit even more enjoyable. Whether you're a nature lover, history buff, or simply looking for a fun day out, the Heights of Abraham is a must-visit destination. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Peak District.

Great day out, we really enjoyed our visit.
The staff were exceptional, so friendly and helpful, and happy to chat, they are a real credit to your attraction.
Plenty to see and do, so something for everyone.
It is quite steep in places, but the paths are well built and safe underfoot.
A really nice visit ?

I visited with my family on a weekend, and we had a fantastic time. Just a heads-up—parking primarily requires cash, so it's a good idea to have some coins on hand. The caverns, cable car ride, and tower views were all exhilarating and definitely worth the visit. We spent about 4-5 hours enjoying all the activities, and the wait times for the cavern tours weren't too long. The area is pet-friendly and there are decent dining options are available as well. Overall, it was a great experience!

This place is wonderful! We were fortunate that the weather was on our side during our visit—warm and sunny! ☀️ We took the cable cars up and then walked back down to the town. It has a rich history and plenty of natural attractions to explore.

A lovely, family day out! Everything is clean and well kept and all the staff were very helpful and friendly. Caverns, Cable cars and play areas are great fun. Be aware, some steep hills and steps to walk once you’re at the hilltop. Something a little different to the norm and our children had a great time! Would recommend for a fun day out.

Thoroughly enjoyable time here... Plenty to see and do with lovely views on a clear day. The cable car ride is around 5 mins each way and you are able to re-use your ticket up to seven days after. Be aware leading up to the cable ? cars its quite steep and exceptionally steep in places once at the top, to get from one place to the other. I'm wondering whether perhaps an option of a golf buggy to transport those less able, to get around, would be extremely beneficial? The two caves you can visit within the price would also be difficult if you are less able...but that would be a decision for you. Good value for money.

We went to the Lights of Abraham which is a Christmas light trail new for 2024.
The whole experience was really magical starting with a cable car trip over Matlock Bath at night.
The staff were all really friendly and helpful greeting us at every opportunity.
The light trail was one of the best we have seen in this area, my Dad thought it was his favourite ever.
I would really recommend a trip here this year as a seasonal treat.

Loved this place! We turned up at opening time on a rainy Wednesday, and the staff were sooo friendly. From the reception, onto the cable cars & the actors, we couldn't fault it! Amazing views & lots of places to explore. Dog friendly but not in the caves. I walked our dog whilst my husband went on the tour. Reasonable level of fitness required, i would say just due to the steepness of the walkways. Buy tickets online if you're planning to arrive by train as you do save money. Matlock Bath is the closest station & car park. It's a few minutes' walk from the entrance.
