Heber's Ghyll is beautiful at all times of the year amd it's probably my wife's favourite place but don't expect Niagara Falls if you're coming for the waterfall.

It's more of a cascade even when there is a lot of water. When it's dry, all there is is a small beck and a very pretty wood.

Had a beautiful walk through super low clouds finishing with the waterfall. Felt like a dream!
Used Alltrails for the route, ish, which was comforting when walking through cloud...

The only negative was a dog with no recall being off lead. My dog is reactive (lead slip reads SPACE NEEDED) and stays on lead by my side but an idiot left his dog to run at mine, then circle him. My partner had to escort it away as the owner just kept walking. PLEASE, dog owners, remember not every dog is friendly!

The hidden gem of Ilkley, our piece of Jurassic rainforest minus the raptors unless you include the dogs whose owners clearly like the 7 bridge hike to the moor, definitely spikes the heart rate!

Absolutely beautiful. I took my 3 year old on the dinosaurs hunt. Be aware that young children may be disappointed as the dinosaurs are toys and small (very in some cases). Rugged terain, so if you are taking a young child, they need to be good walkers. If your looking fir something different from the usual park it's a winner

As waterfalls go, it’s not all that impressive. Maybe after a lot of heavy rain there might be some action but usually it’s just a tame stream with a bit of a drop. Worth a visit though if your walking up to see the nearby swastika stone as it’s on the path.
