Money hungry staff. Only interested in pushing their agenda (with the hotel they get commission) and no interested in helping us at all after we arrived at the hotel and was dissatisfied with it. I have a disability and walked in and out with a walking stick and was claimed they didn't see me there, despite me putting my details down and so carried on to picked a very hilly hotel for us.
When you should have had other options ready for us as soon as I looked unsure about all the hills and walking(which this hotel was in the middle of nowhere so we needed taxi and uber everywhere we go). How was I supposed to know what the hotel was like, never stayed here in my life and you said your friends stayed there etc. Now I know they get commission for it, it made sense why it was pushed so hard. Was very convincing the way they were selling it to us so I didn't realise it was going to be this hilly. Did not give us a selection of hotels that we can pick from. We went on the base that "it was highly recommended" and "could not be recommend it enough".
We put our trust in someone that clearly had no interest or consideration but their own to book us a relaxing family holiday but all we got was stress. Not really organised, we stayed in two hotels, the first one the date was all wrong and with the second one was unimaginable how bad it was.

When we asked to speak to hays travel about the issue whiles on the holiday we got a rude response saying "why didn't we say anything when booking?" "Why did we not do research?". The reason we went with a travel agent in the first place so that we are stressed free in organising the holiday. We have our own life and to get on with, we trusted hays travel but that was broken.

We dealt with this travel agent for a 3 week holiday to Thailand. For 2 weeks in Phuket they personally recommended a resort. On arrival we found the complex completely unsuitable - one of our group of 6 has mobility problems due to having a stroke. The resort in Phuket is on a cliff and the only way to get to and from your room is via site tuk tuk which is difficult to get in and out. We were not made aware of the difficulties this resort would cause us. It is completely run down and not clean. We were told this was an amazing and beautiful complex rated at 4 stars. It's not worthy of no more than 2 stars. We have spent the time here unhappy and stressed. Trying to contact Hays Travel when we should be enjoying our holiday. It's totally unacceptable that we have been put in such an awful situation. No offer of rectification at all they just pass the buck and say they didn't know we needed ground level accomodation when the agent saw the girl walking with a stick and mobility was difficult. All they care about is commission.
I will never recommend this travel agent and I will make sure I tell people to avoid this company

We booked with Hays travel over a year ago for six of us in a group to go on a hoilday of a life time to thailand .We thought laura who we sat down in the office and explained everything with her As all this was very new to us And we wanted to go to a well known company to sort this amazing hoilday out. How disappointing we were .We was not told anything about alot of steps or how steep it was .So i feel laura had lack of knowledge of this villa in phuket and we all sat round listening to her how wonderful this place is So as it was recommended we went on her saying this would be perfect for you all .I didnt realise there would be a tui tui to get any where as you are unable to walk down or up as it is very steep .This place on the web page is nothing like there picture as they shown it was so amazing but all i can say it is very run down and needs alot of updating. It is definitely not any good if you are unfit or have mobility issues. As it is very difficult .Also when we arrived the rooms( butlins huts 🛖)was not allocated so we were put in rooms that was only available on that day also we payed for seaview and we got huts viewing the trees and not the sea as we ask for .We also was not informed that you have to put an deposit down on arrival just in case of breakages (what a joke )When we got to our huts they was boiling hot no air conditioning was put on it nearly kill us So on the second day we ask to be moved but it then gets very complicated as you got to deal with Hays travel and they got to deal with premium hoilday and so we have to wait for an response from premium for what they can do to help us out as this is a hoilday of hell 2024 .I really hope this get sorted as i am really not happy for the situation we was put in I do not recommend this place and i feel i should not have to be sorted this out on my hoilday of a life time i thought .There is more to come

Staff very disinterested - Attempted to get a quote for an all inclusive family holiday this autumn. We were asked our budget and the only suggestions came directly from the easyJet holidays website.

Left with a brochure and no intention of returning, as anyone can use the easyJet website. Very disappointing as we've heard good things in the past about this business.

Back in February 2022, we saw Joy and asked if she could put together a package holiday to our favourite hotel in Benalmadena, Spain. Nothing was too much trouble for her. She was very patient, going through each stage of the booking and before we knew it, our holiday in September 2022 was all put together including holiday insurance. Thereafter until our departure, we were kept informed by Joy, Chelsea and Megan. They were excellent. We had a great holiday. One of the noteable things was the Hays confirmation via our Spanish hotel of the time that our private taxi would collect us for the airport departure. Thus we did not have to contact the taxi company ourselves. Super service. Thank you girls and Hays Travel.

How refreshing to still have a local travel agent, especially with staff as helpful and efficient as Sherrie.

We've just booked an expensive holiday for our large family group and nothing was too much trouble for her.

We will be using Hays Travel for all our holiday booking in the future as it takes a lot of grief and heartache out of doing it ourselves online.

Thank you for such wonderful service from such a wonderful helpful travel advisors.

Can't thank the girls in the goring branch enough, Chelsea went above and beyond to get us the holiday we wanted. As a party of 11 this was no easy feat, but she managed to find us the perfect deal for a lot cheaper then another travel agency could. Would recommend Hays travel over and over again. Thank you 😁
