We had a great time at Thornwick bay Holiday Park. Very clean and tidy with friendly and helpful staff. The restaurant and bar staff were extremely helpful. The restaurant is overpriced. But that is usually the case at Haven parks. Beware, if you have booked a private caravan through someone other than Haven, then the play passes are EXTREMELY expensive! So expensive, that we didn't bother with them. It would have added around another £175 to our 2 night stay for our family. Without the passes, we couldn't book any of the activities (which, even with the expense of the passes, have an additional cost). I understand the additional cost of the activities. But we just couldn't justify the cost of the passes. Shame. Luckily, the site is quite close to Bridlington if you have a car. We went swimming and used the climbing wall at the leisure center there at a fraction of the cost. The park is also within walking distance of North Landing. Which, as always, is a fantastic place to explore the caves and rock pools with the family.

Thank you for a fab family holiday! |Haven Thornwick Bay was such a good base for exploring the North East! Amazing coast to explore very close by too. ||Shout out to the staff in The Lighthouse restaurant, always fab service and can see how hard they were working during the October half term.||A big thank you too to the two ladies on Reception (Sat 26th Oct), had a couple of issues with caravan upon check in but after reporting to Reception, the issues were very quickly dealt with (within a morning) and no other problems with caravan for rest of the stay - so thank you maintainance team too! Last thank you is to Ryan in the activities team who was fantastic coaching the archery and climbing wall (for our little one!) ||Park was well kept, shop had everything everything needed, and the delivery from Chopstix was great too!||The Clubhouse was very busy in the evenings, but there is also kids entertainment in the afternoon, so maybe check this out if you have any family who may get overwhelmed.||Would definately recommend if you are thinking of exploring this area of the beautiful UK.

We stayed here during October school holidays, loved the approach into the site, really well looked after grounds all neat and tidy. Check in was simple we were directed to the caravan which was Xantus Grange 51, we had booked a silver grade and felt the caravan was good value for money, the caravan was well looked after and clean, the only problem was we didn’t have a parking space outside the caravan so had to park a short walk up the road, not too much of an issue but the issue really was with how muddy the area around the caravan was, this is something I really feel needs to be addressed and I have noticed it’s been mentioned in a previous review of the same caravan, you end up traipsing mud through the caravan and shoes are always covered, unfortunately you can’t avoid the mud as the track down to the road is all mud. We ate in the on site restaurant and found it to be good service with helpful staff, we also had a delivery from cooks one night and this was delivered at the agreed time and food was satisfactory, wanted to try the chopstix but unfortunately they never had the stock whilst we were there. Pool area and amusements really good and the kids park was a hit. The showbar did not have enough seating for the crowd between 6-8 pm, which was quite frustrating as you’ve to get in ridiculously early to get a seat, I imagine it’s fine when the kids aren’t off school. We visited nearby beaches and sights and we had an enjoyable break. I would come back to this park if I could get another good value deal.

If you're allergic to dogs or any other pet, I wouldn't bother with this park. We booked a silver pet free caravan. My 8yr old son is allergic to dogs amongst other things and is an epi pen carrier. When we entered the caravan, we instantly knew a dog had been in there. There was dog hair embedded in the carpets, my son immediately got hives all over his face and hands. There was also dried urine around the toilet seat, a cupboard hanging off the wall. We went straight down to reception and told them we couldn't stay in that caravan and asked to be moved to another of the same grade. We were told there were no more caravans available, we even offered to pay the difference and upgrade. this is not even the school holidays so I struggle to believe there were absolutely no other caravans. We were told all they had free was pet friendly saver caravans. We can not stay in a pet friendly caravan! My son is allergic! They said they will send someone up to clean the caravan, you cannot clean pet dander away in 10 minutes! We had no other option at this point than to either move park or go home, we didn't want to do the latter as this was part of my sons birthday and he loves Thornwick hence why we booked there. We had to go to Blue dolphin. We hated it. Our holiday was ruined. All we have been offered is a free upgrade from bronze to silver on our 'next trip' the kids got a go on the trampoline at blue dolphin as a good will gesture. We had to make the most of what we had, because I didn't want my son to have a rubbish birthday weekend. Thornwick have told us they can't guarantee no pets enter any of the vans. This needs looking into promptly. |So if you are allergic to pets or you don't want to stay in a caravan where pets have been, choose somewhere else to go!

We booked this weekend the 1st of November for my daughter’s 6th birthday!||We arrived in our time of arrival between 2 and 3pm as stated on our booking.. what we turned up was an absolute disgrace.||Booked a 3 bedroom silver caravan through Haven.. as we pulled up to our caravan the first thing we saw was a bag of rubbish under the caravan that had been left open a rubbish everywhere there was glass, a full roll of toilet roll all sorts! ||We then went in to check the caravan before unloading to find absolute disgraceful living conditions for a family who had paid money to be staying there.. there was also a green welcome sticker over the door to state it had been cleaned! ||I will attach photos but we walked in to a smelly dirty and disgusting state.. food in the drain, ripped, old and crumbs on the sofa bed.. the shower door protectors not connected and sat in the shower also muck all over the curtains and rubbish down the sides of the sofa it’s was honestly horrendous! ||Straight away raised this with reception they offered us to stay the night and swap to another the day after which was not willing to let my children sleep in there.||Checked other sites and there was nothing we was given a refund and basically sent on our way to find alternative accommodation ourselves and a very upset pair of children to explain the situation too! ||We ended up having to park up and find another place for the weekend as we couldn’t drive 2 hours home and disappoint our little girl! Costing us an extra 200 on top of what we had already paid and having to wait for the refund.||We feel like we were so let down by haven and disgusted they would just let a family drive away with no help even after sitting in reception crying!

We came here on a half term family break and we were pleasantly surprised. To be honest I was not expecting much but it was much better than I imagined.||Firstly, the caravan was spotlessly clean and it was nice and modern. The beds were comfy (and clean), the bedroom was like new. The shower was amazingly powerful and better then most hotels that I have stayed in. The shower cubicle can be a bit restricted but the powerful shower more than made up for it. ||The kitchen are was very clean and all appliances were like new. All the cutlery was clean.|| The only downside was the lack of WiFi in the caravan as the general phone signal was shockingly bad. ||The swimming pool area was large and cleaner than expected. The changing g room area was a bit grubby but that has to be expected with the amount of people using them and some don't seem to know how to use a bin or tidy after themselves. The little one had hours of fun in the pools. The only real issue I had was that the water could have been warmer and so could the changing areas.|| The arcade kept the little one entertained but it is overly expensive to stay and play games for any amount of time. After 4 nights and a shocking amount of money spent, she had enough tokens for a few bags of haribo.|| There was nightly entertainment and the cast did a good job. If you are expecting Broadway productions, you are in the wrong place but kids loved it and every night they were having a great time. The entertainers did a good job and were always on form.|| The surrounding areas of the park are lovely and very clean. There is an outdoor park which kids love and there are large open spaces.|| We ate at chopsticks and chippy. Both were good but pricy. I would happily eat at chopsticks again. It was a bit like Panda Express in America. ||Overall, I was surprised by this place. I was expecting a filthy sespit of dispair but was very wrong. I would come back for another half term break if there were good deals to be found. ||

Had a great time at Thornwick Bay, entertainment was good, beverages good, walking paths to Flamborough Heads were easily accessible, staff were courteous as was the security staff. The only thing I always find is a lot of the food is very dated (being and ex Executive Head Chef) menus across the board in all Haven places I (yes I know how they work in setting menus, having done many over a long period) have stayed have the same menus, especially lunch offerings sandwiches could be offered not hot sandwiches but normal everyday sandwiches. These can be bought in by your wholesalers every morning just a thought. One thing which seems to be missing is mini/crazy golf. And the beds were the best I have ever stayed in apart from home that is. Anyway was an enjoyable time was had by our family, thank you to all. Glenn.

We had the best time on our little family trip. We visited in April so the weather was poor, rained the whole time and we still had a great experience.

Plenty of indoor activities, the pool is great and the staff were very welcoming and interactive.

The children’s entertainment was fab and the bar reasonably priced.

The caravan itself was amazing, the decking was a great addition to let the toddler run wild! He enjoyed feeding the ducks every morning.

Would 100% return!
