We have stayed at Perran Sands several times since our children were small. We haven't been for a fair few years so we booked a bank holiday break with them who are now in their 20s! We had a great time. Booked a bronze caravan which was clean and had everything we needed. Was good to have the option of choosing where we wanted to be on the site but this did come at an extra cost which on this occasion was worth it as we wanted a quieter area. We ate at the restaurant once who accommodated a vegan and a coeliac which was great! We did not use the pool as it was too busy being a bank holiday. I was expecting the site to be run down as read in previous reviews, we did not think so but didn't really use any facilities other than restaurant and shop which were great. The best thing about this site is the location and showstopping views of the sea - its amazing and we love it. We love walking down to the beach and the watering hole - walking back up is definitely not enjoyable 🤣. We will definitely keep returning

3rd year in a row visiting.
Great facilities on site, shops, food, entertainment etc. Love the cashless arcade (although it will empty your pockets!) Swimming pool is great, clean feel, not too crowded.
Great beach - the walk back up is a workout and a half though!
Location is great for other activities in the area.
Only downfall is caravan cleanliness, cleaners need to pay more attention to detail, and other guests are not very self aware (noise, attitude etc).
Will be booking again for next year.

Absolutely brilliant, highly recommend. All staff lovely especially Karl, Lewis and eve from the entertainment staff. With children ranging from 4 to 14 they catered brilliantly to each age. Also from other families with children with severe disabilities they were amazing with them. Holding their hands, high fiving them getting them involved was so lovely to see.

We stayed on a touring pitch on the last week of August. Upon arrival, there was nobody to greet guests, and signs were outdated and led to an abandoned touring reception! Tried calling reception several times to no avail. Dumped the car/caravan and walked to reception to be met by a rude obnoxious person who told me, and I quote "that the security guy was entitled to a break you know", when all I said was, we didn't know where to go as nobody was there to tell us. There was nobody in reception either, so I dont know why he didn't answer the phone! This is also a security breach in my opinion, as we entered the site unchecked and could have been thieves! Someone else should relieve security guard when he needs his break, not leave it unmanned!! Pitches are uneven and lack maintenance. Abandoned scrap caravans litter the site, as well as their statics being stored there. Only 1 toilet/shower block in use, which has seen better days and was filthy! Showers were a lottery whether they were hot or cold! Heavy rain flooded our awning under 6 inches of water, despite staff assuring us that the sand pitches drain well!! Pool was small and changing facilities dated, toilets out of order! Overall not a pleasant experience and wished we'd booked Hendra for less money and 10 times better!! Most expensive touring pitch we've ever booked, and by far the worst!!! Even compared with basic sites with few amenities!

A lot of the caravans are not safe for disabled or people with walking difficulties as there is not many flat excesses in to caravans .
Nice entertaining areas but still small.
There aren't many staff around the areas to keep kids wanting to stay within the kids areas .
Arcade is cashless so have to charge up a card so not point bringing the penny jar...
Shop very expensive but has a great selection .

Caravans not very clean ...
Mattresses need throwing away metal packing into yr body ...
Rusty radiator...
Cob webs in corners ...
Windows and mirrors dirty ...caravan site only 10 minutes drive from the lovely Perranporth town and there's a great selection of shops and bars for a family to spend the whole day there..

Due to unexpected events I ended up attending my holiday alone, but I certainly didn’t feel alone thanks to the beautiful souls at the coast beach bar perran sands. From the second I ventured out of my caravan (which was lovely by the way) I was greeted by the friendliest of hospitality teams I’ve had the pleasure of meeting. Everyone was super friendly and welcoming. After my days of exploring the local area I couldn’t help but spend my evenings in the lovely sports bar on site. A big thank you to Phoebe, Megan, Michaela, Amy, Sienna, Tienna and more! You guys really are beautiful human beings.. To the next time!! Peace and love Rich x

Caravans not very clean, didn’t leave us with a hoover only a mop.
From Saturday until Thursday we either had no hot water, or no water at all!
That was definitely fun in the mornings with 2 young kids.
Trying to get hold of reception or the OOH was impossible, my husband drove down to reception and time he got back I was still on hold.
No reception signal unless you stand outside.

Health and safety at its finest.. near the sales office & Zebra crossing one of the bollards hadn’t been put back, my son ran across the crossing as cars don’t always stop, and his foot fell down the hole, he lost a chunk of his skin that bled for a whole day.
Things could have been a lot worse, the man at sales office was brilliant and took us to first aid team.
They kept him calm, and gave him a plaster.
They then put signs on the posts to put them back.
When asking security for extra plasters they where quiet tight with them.
In the end we went and brought our own due to my son having no spleen and more prone to infections.

The restaurant staff where the camper van is don’t like kids, their faces and replies says it all..

The caravan has potential and it’s such a shame as the location is beautiful.
We definitely felt like it was not a £2.5k for a week holiday.

We stayed at Haven Perran Sands Holiday Park during May half term 2025, in a Gold dog-friendly caravan in the Penhallow area. The caravan was a real highlight of our stay. It was spotlessly clean, modern and really well-equipped with everything we needed. It felt more like a home from home than just a base, and we genuinely enjoyed spending time there on the balcony.

The location of the caravan was ideal, quiet and tucked away, but still within a short walk of all the main facilities. That said, the outside area did let it down slightly. Around the base of the caravan and across the park, there were a lot of weeds and no real sign of regular upkeep, which was a bit of a shame considering how nice the van itself was. (They did cut the grass)

Our group included two dads, a seven-year-old child, two grandparents and the dog so we needed a holiday that worked for all of us. Thankfully, Perran Sands delivered. Our son loved the adventure golf, bungee trampolines and the modern arcade. There was a great variety of on-site activities, and we found plenty to keep us busy without needing to leave the park every day.

One of the best parts of staying here is the easy access to the beach. There is a direct path down through the dunes, and it’s only a short walk. The beach is beautiful, spacious, scenic and dog-friendly all year round, which made a real difference for us. We visited the town of Perranporth several times and always found it welcoming and family-friendly. Our son also took daily lessons with Perranporth Surf School, which we would highly recommend, the instructors were fantastic.

The only real downsides were around maintenance. The general landscaping around the park, especially near the main complex, felt neglected, and the pool area could do with more attention. While some parts of the swimming complex looked recently updated, others felt dated and unclean. The changing areas were often untidy, and the toilets could have been better maintained.

Despite those points, we had a brilliant week overall. The caravan was a lovely space to relax in, the beach access was a huge bonus, and there was more than enough to keep everyone entertained. With a bit more attention to upkeep, this park has everything you need for a great family holiday.
