We visited Happy Mount Park form the first time yesterday. We spent the afternoon in the park with our two children's Nd had a jolly good time. Plenty to do, could easily have spent a full day at the park. The splash park was a great hit with our 4 and 7 year old.

The free play area was a bit basic and the other issue was that a lot of the things were cash only. Some sort of pay once for everything would have been handy too.

So this review is based from a family with two grand children with special needs
A lovely laid out park, various interesting areas

Limited toilet facilities albeit clean
The cafe is very noisy due to the play area being placed inside and the prices are a little steep too but there is quite a broad food menu to choose from
Great coffee though👌🙂

The paths are poorly maintained in places for pushing wheelchairs on.

The play area is in a nice sheltered area, it is well set out and the pine needles add a soft covering to the ground. (Some parts of the ground were muddy though)
The zip wire is placed way too low and restricts its use for the heavier child
Overall OK.

Great free playground, plus paid mini train (£1.50 per person), paid playground with ride on cars/scooters for under 8s (£1.50 per child) and £4 per head for splash park when opened. Lovely gardens, mini golf (at a cost) and cafe too.

Lovely place! Remember change for loos though and parking can be rough on a sunny day!

Very nice to walk around for the family. Lots for younger and older children to do but unless you’re just going to walk around the Japanese garden and use the playground, then you will have to play per person to use the rides. They can range from £2.50 and upwards per person so not the cheapest of you have a large family like myself. Plenty of grassy areas to let the kids round around and loads of picnic benches. About 1 min walk away from the beach and sea front.

Absolutely lovely park- the mini golf was very fun. However, after having a successful interview with these guys- I would 100000% recommend to avoid. All the workers seem to be as young as possible, so they aren’t paid a living wage and taken advantage of. Just don’t work there.

We chose to stop off here for a break on a long drive North. It looked great online but it was far from it in real life. A very tired looking park. The train, paid for parks and splash pad were all closed despite showing as open online. The boat swings were all removed from their pods. There are far better, cleaner, free play parks. Don't waste your time with this one.
