I am not qualified to review Halls as an organisation, but I am eminently qualified to review the help given to me by the delightful member of staff who dealt with my consignment, which was directly connected with Stalag Luft III and the Great Escape. If other members of staff at Halls share even half the fine attributes of Caroline Dennard, then I suspect that the organisation itself deserves five stars too.

At a very difficult time in my life, following the death of my wife, Caroline was unstinting in her labours, her empathy and her professionalism. She did more to honour the memory of the remarkable wartime RAF officer, whose memorabilia I was reluctantly having to sell, than I could ever have hoped for, even arranging for additional research by Doctor Steve Bond. Her hard work and kindness both yielded great dividends, for she not only helped soothe my suffering soul, but also bettered the auction's guide price. Most important, she put my beloved step-father's memory and medals into the hands of someone who would understand and value them.

Very nice coffee, excellent value, no gastro food by any stretch of the imagination, but a good choice of basic fare at reasonable prices. Always busy, especially on a Monday when valuations are on. Sit inside or outside if the weather is warm. Spacious, modern and quiet.

I recently had the pleasure of meeting Joseph who came to help me value some of my mother's "treasure " He was so professional and also very kind and understanding. A week later I took some items to Halls where I was greeted by other members of staff who were all friendly and very helpful even though I had little to offer them. I would highly recommend this company even if you just need advice.

I buy alot from various auction esp since covid but i have never recieved such a proffessional and friendly service. Halls were very fair on shipping and it arrived so quickly. The customer service has been impeccable and my friends are tired of hearing about it. Ive had so many bad experiences from other companies with items not as described, missing parts of a lot or postage costs that make me wince so i was happily suprised by Halls and can not recommend this auction house highly enough it needs 6 stars out of 5 not 5 !
